I researched for month on what speakers to buy for my new music room. My wife and I have a decent album collection and wanted to create room to listen to them. I settled on a Fluance turntable and loved the white color. I needed some white speakers that sounded great. I am not an expert audiophile, but every expert review I saw just loved these speakers. Our room is about 14 x 13 ft and the speakers juts sound great. No need to buy a subwoofer at this point as the base sounds great to me and has enough power and depth to fill the room. They are easy to set up but wish they had packed some longer grounding and speaker cords. As you can see in my photo, I have to keep the speakers close to the phonograph table but will but some longer cords to be able to have some flexibility in moving the speakers a little further out. For some good speaker cords, this will put me out another few hundred dollars. The Kanto speaker stands are top notch and highly recommend. These speakers easily connect to my iphone's Bluetooth, but the sound playing from Spotify doesn't compare to the sound quality when playing an album. The biggest issue I have is the remote or speaker not having dedicated buttons for the different input options. To change between turntable and Bluetooth, I have to toggle between the different options. Overall, it is the sound quality, color options, and flexibility that I was looking for. I am very happy with this purchase and do not think you can get anything comparable with this quality in this price range.

Full disclosure, I bought the speakers when it was discounted from 899 to 499. that price makes sense to me for home office desk speakers. I like to buy premium products for my home usage and not cheap out, but no doubt that $900 Price tag is a lot for home office usage. Luckily with The discounted price I managed to get them Eventually after keeping my eyes Open for a discount for five months.. And I’m very happy with the purchase, they match beautifully to my white desk set up. I started Using them out of the box with no stand usage as shown in the pictures. Then got metal angled stands. They had great quality and excellent with directing the sound towards the listener ears, but it didn’t leave any space on my table/: so I switched to New and higher 9 inch stands that gives me more room and space for other items on my table, plus I think it looks even more beautiful and gives it a a clean aesthetic. It comes with the remote and lots of ports and exits for you to utilize for your set up, and it just makes me relax when I’m future proofing the setup with electronic purchase that way. I’m very happy with all of the functionality except One thing that drives me crazy , the switching of the different audio Presets/output… which require numerous times of clicking and pressing. Even the new fancy remote make you switch between them one by one/: For example if you wanna switch through: Phono, RCA, OPT, USB, Bluetooth. It will require you to click on the same button for time just to get from Bluetooth mode to USB mode, if the speaker is in sleep mode than five times. You get my drift. at first I was looking at audio engine brand as well, or previous older models of Kanto speakers, but I decided I want the best of the best and after long few weeks of Research I chose Play is this tuk speakers on my list, and just wait several months for it to be discounted. which I highly recommend on doing.

I was excited to buy these speakers and find the audio quality to be solid. I was using the optical line for my TV and was happy with it. I plugged the optical line in maybe 4-5 times total. The 4th time I unplugged it to re-organize my TV / Audio cables, the optical input on the speaker broke. I have now been back and forth with TUK for over a month to resolve the issue. They take a week to respond and keep requesting different things. They have yet to inform me if the input can be repaired or inform me of anything really. I would expect much better customer service for speakers that cost right under $1,000. The popping issue with the speakers noted in other reviews must be related to bluetooth. I never noticed it until the optical line input broke and I switched to using bluetooth for my TV. I have since stopped using the speakers for watching movies b/c the sound quality directly out my TV is better quality.

Not a bluetooth speaker, not a hi-fi system but something in-between. I tested out the TUK vs the Klipsch 5's and the Audio Engine HD6 - and liked the TUK most of all. I tested them with a turntable, bluetooth, and USB connected to a laptop streaming high-res files from amazon music HD. Klipsch 5's -- Bass was loose and rambling and just way too loud. At low to moderate volumes, they sounded good. Attached to a Audio Technica LP60 turntable, the Klipsch 5's sounded better than the TUK when using the Klipsch's built in phono amp. Overall the Klipsch's did just OK on vocals and brass instruments. The fives look really good. After I returned them, it seemed like I maybe needed to update the firmware to allow for a different bass settings --- these things should have some tone control built in. TUK -- These really sounded pretty descent. Very clear, and the bass was far more musical than the Klipsch. The ribbon tweeters had a high-end quality to them. At high volumes, the TUK started to wear out. The phono amp was good, but maybe a small notch behind the Klipsch, as the klipsch had a nice "warmness" to them. I did NOT try to pair these with a Sub, but doing so would have made these an awesome little stereo. If you live in an apartment having these with a sub connected to a TV plus a turntable would make you very happy. My comments above don't quite tell the whole story, but the TUK's (in my opinion), are a real step up from the Klipsch's and the audio engine hd6. Audio Engine HD6. These also sounded good, but lack a phono amp. After many hours of listening, I decided that these are meant to a computer speaker that you don't crank up much. Sound quality was just below the TUK's from what I could judge. They lacked much of a soundstage. TUK's are great speakers enough to fill most living rooms. Just wish they looked a little cooler. BTW - I ended up spending $5K on a somewhat more proper hifi system. For simple set-ups, I would suggest either the TUK at 799 plus the sub for 289 for $1,100 spring 2021 or the KEF ls50 W for $2,500 and see if high-res streaming works for you on the KEF's. (I did not include the KEF's in my write up. since the above three are at a similar price point)

Setup is at the top of the stairs in a split-level on the sitting room (living room) side. I did opt for the Sub8 for the extra bass. Source is an Ocean Digital WR-50 (not a DAC or streamer but I didn't need those features). Using the optical connection between the source and the speakers. These things are awesome. Clean and loud! They will fill the entire house with sound loud. The sub does add a bunch to the setup with the crossover. I like my music bright with good mid-range and highs. Cranking the volume up results in almost no distortion. In some repect they can get too loud (which is unbelievable). My only peeve is the remote conrol because there is no easy way to see where the current settings stand to adjust them. You have to either pop all the way up or down and then adjust from there for the bass and treble. I only use the speakerswith one source so I have nothing to say about source switching. As can be seen in the picture my grills are not grey (which come with the White speakers). I contacted Kanto to get a set of Black grills so the TUKs would match the Sub8. Never be afraid to ask. It is a bit of an expensive setup but it is worth it. As for my source, it is not super hifi tech like you would get with an expensive DAC for high quality streaming content. I bring this up because I don't use this system often so I have no need to spend money on an expensive DAC or streaming services (monthly cost). I mosty use the FM Radio, Internet Radio and media files (ripped CDs) for music. For not so high quality sources, the TUKs are still killing it! If you are looking for something to front-end any powered speakers on the somewhat cheap (<$200) The Ocean Digital WR-50 is a great source.

These speakers are sexy, let me just start by saying that. Not only are they nice to look at, but the quality is sickeningly clear. I say sickening because I could see these not being for everyone. I’ll admit when I first turned them on and played some music, it was fatiguing after 30 minutes and I had a headache. I adjusted the treble slightly and since then I love it. With some songs the high end can feel very in your face though. The low end and bass are nice too, they are more accurate than anything. I wouldn’t say the sub bass is anything massive if that’s what you are expecting. I love UK dub and bassline and have enjoyed every song on it so far though. I use them in my bedroom so the bass is not an issue for me, it’s plenty loud. But if you own any of the Kanto YU speakers and you upgrade to this, you will crap yourself. Some people might scoff at me, but I’ve actually been using these for mixing my music and I’ll say they are pretty accurate! I haven’t used the headphone amp yet, but I hear good things about it as well. I just love these speakers so much :( They’re my first pair of more high-end speakers, and I can see myself using these for years and years down the line so I think it’s worth it.

TL;DR - Buy these speakers now. Pros: -Tone controls -Sleek modern design -Excellent sound quality (NOT fatiguing at all) -Has every input you need Cons: -The remote could be a tiny bit more intuitive. Instead of having dedicated input buttons, you have to cycle through each input and it takes a second for each one to register. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning. Conclusion: Here's why my review is titled "The Burning Question." Many people have asked which is better, Kanto TUK or Klipsch The Fives? Well, I can tell you, after owning both pairs of speakers, I would absolutely recommend the TUK over The Fives hands down. Yes, The Fives have HDMI-ARC which can handle higher resolution, but that doesn't really matter when The Fives just don't sound that great in my opinion... AND they don't have dedicated tone controls! The TUK have incredibly detailed highs with more than enough bass to satisfy. The mid range frequency takes a slight back seat to the action which is perfect for me because I'm the type of listener who enjoys a U-shaped sound profile. In any case, you can tweak the sound to your liking should you choose to do so. Basically what you'll be getting with the TUK is an incredibly versatile pair of speakers that can connect to any source you want and will give you fantastic sound quality that absolutely does NOT require a subwoofer (although I will be getting one in order to further increase resolution) I hope this review helps anyone who's on the fence about these speakers. I'd say buy them. You will not regret it!

It makes great sounds with sub woofer (bought separately) but the LED come OFF after 2 months use..... Also, it's really annoying to switch audio source.... only one button to switch... so I should have to keep hit the button till get the right source... if you missed, you should keep hit the button again....

Comprenlas sin miedo, yo ya escuché KEF lSX LT II, las ELAC connects DBC30, y las PSB alpha AM5 y las TUK suenas mas alto y la claridad solo se puede comparar con las KEF; super calidad sonora, materiales premium y hasta sin woofer suenan muy bien. Yo le agregué un Def Tech Dn8 y llenan un espacio mediano sin problemas. Excelente altavoces activos!

Excellent speakers arrived promptly super sound with my stage piano.

I bought these speakers in a spur of the moment because they had a really nice discount on an already cheaper, uesed product price. They are a really nice addition to my white setup, and although I'm not an audiophile, they far, far exceed my expectations in terms of sound quality! The best sounding speckers I've ever had (I previously owned 2 edifiers). And on top of that, I only bought them for 578 euros instead of 833 euros for the white version, and 1800+ euros for the black version! Seams like a steal... Most of the components were still sealed in their original packaging, which probably means the previous owner didn't even used the product at all. How about that! I suspect that person may had an issue with the power cable and simply returned the product. Indeed, it came with an US plug, so I had to spend 7 euro on an adaptor in order to plug the power cable into a Belgian wall socket. The only issue is that the speakers make a humming noise when you turn them on, probably due to the different voltage cause by the adaptor. But once you start playing something, the humming noise is gone until you turn off you speakers and turn them on again. I have since then plugged them to an UPS, there is no more humming noise at all. So beware if you're buying these speakers from another country. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and can only recommand them to anyone who is into great sounding speakers, provided you have the money of course, or buy them on a discounted price like I did.

One of the best looking speakers out there for Casual and Gaming in computer setups UNBOXING Upon opening, it was really well packaged from Kanto, they had thick styrofoam from top to bottom, covered with a double cardboard box snuggled in. It came with everything that was mentioned in the description. SETUP Setting up the DAC with the PC is pretty much plug and play, the audio quality is quite astonishing on its own. Setting up with Bluetooth was such a breeze in the park, all I had to do was push the front knob to search and/or on the remote button. The speaker knows when there's audio playing from the source and it will automatically connect and start playing, which is super nice, so you don't have to go to the Bluetooth settings every time, as long as it remembers your device. AUDIO EXPERIENCE - 1 YEAR in terms of audio quality, as a casual listener. I really do enjoy listening to these speakers, but they can get a little fatiguing a bit. There are two ways to prevent this: turn down the treble by -3 (or more) on the remote, I found out that it is around in the 3K to 5Khz range is very high in the graph out of the box. You can also get EQ APO on windows to adjust it which I have done; it really made the speakers sufficiently better in terms of clarity, separate instruments and bass in long listening sessions. *ITS WORTH DOING* Going through all the songs and movies you've enjoyed is a whole new experience with these, the bass is beautiful for its size, you wouldn't need a subwoofer. DISLIKE The one thing I didn't like was that you're kind of forced to use the remote or get up to the speakers to switch the options you want to play in (PHONO, RCA, OPT, USB, BT), would really love to see Kanto make a dedicated App and buttons for controls in the next line up. Needs EQ APO if you want to get most of these speakers, but it's quite easy to set it up. Other than that, it sounds great out of the box.

After trying multiple speaker setups for my home office desk, I finally decided to splurge on the Kanto TUKs. I’ve now had them for over a year, and I can confidently say they’re some of the best studio monitors I’ve ever used. What I like: The sound is incredibly balanced and clear. The tweeters bring out crisp highs, and the larger drivers deliver tight mids and lows without sounding muddy. I compared them with many popular monitor brands and the TUKs consistently came out on top for detail, clarity, and richness. Whether I’m listening to music, editing video, or watching content, the soundstage feels immersive and natural. They also look fantastic. The sleek design fits perfectly into a modern setup, and they feel like premium speakers in every way. After a year of daily use, they still look and sound like new. I haven’t had a single reliability issue. What I don’t like: The main downside is the headphone jack. When plugged in, there’s a persistent static hissing noise that’s loud enough to be uncomfortable. Because of that, I avoid using headphones through the speakers. Also, if your room is very quiet, you may hear a faint hiss from the speakers themselves when nothing is playing. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s there if you’re sensitive to it. This is why the rating lost a star. Helpful tips: If you plan to use headphones regularly, it’s better to connect them directly to your computer or audio interface rather than using the headphone port on the speakers. These monitors sound their best when paired with a good DAC or audio interface — a proper signal source really brings out their full potential. Using speaker stands or isolation pads can help reduce vibration and improve clarity, especially on a desk setup. Final thoughts: These are some of the best speakers I’ve ever owned. They’re not cheap, but the sound quality, design, and long-term reliability make them absolutely worth it for anyone serious about audio. Aside from the headphone port issue, they’re nearly perfect.
