I was looking for a desktop bookcase that would cover a gap between my heavy oak desk and the wall, and keep books and other items from falling down between. This bookcase fits my need exactly. An added bonus: the honey colored bamboo blends nicely with the light finish of the desk. I really do love it.

I wasn't optimistic when I saw that the package was the size of a book, however I was pleasantly surprised by my purchase. It's a smart design to allow you to adjust the width. The slats provide good support for the books and looks great on the kitchen counter. It does take two people to put it together as one has to hold a slat while the other person uses the allen wrench. Good directions came with it.

Easy to assemble adjustable book holder. My picture shows it at the smallest size. To open wider, however, would require removing books in order to slide the side out as it is attached to the middle board.

Worked well, the books were organized for about a day, then the kids "reorganized"Still, it keeps more of them from falling out on the floor.

This is the flimsiest, most cheaply-constructed product I have ever purchased! It's shockingly horrible. The "bamboo" almost feels like thick cardboard or something. It's also covered in some kind of greasy, waxy substance. I immediately washed my hands after dealing with it. Additionally, while carefully screwing the parts together, I heard a loud cracking noise. Much to my disappointment, the side piece had split all the way down the side. Before anyone thinks anything about "operator error", this was not MY fault. I hadn't even tightened the screws all the way and had been going very slowly (especially since everything already felt so junky and delicate). Also, the screws are corroded and nasty. I do NOT recommend this product! It is overpriced garbage. Save your money or spend a little more for something nicer. Heck, a cardboard shoebox would work better than this.

These worked for my purpose, but be careful if you're using them as intended. Some of the screws don't go all the way into the countersink area provided for them. I was afraid to try to add more pressure because it's fairly thin wood and I thought it might split if I tried to force it. If you use these upright on a desktop as intended, those screws might scratch your desk surface, so you might want to get felt pads to cover them after assembly. Plus 1 screw didn't hold at all. I guess the inside of that hole stripped.I bought 3, to use upside down in the large upper areas of my 3-piece wall unit so I could have 2 levels of paperbacks up there instead of just 1. I then put a thin solid piece of plastic over it to make a flat/complete surface for the upper layer of books since, otherwise, half of the books would have been sitting on just 2 thin rods of wood with the others sitting on 3 rods. I care too much about my books to do that and risk the bottoms of the books getting messed up, but doing this doubled my shelf space since these are just right for paperback-height books. These were the only ones I could find that were just the right height for the spaces in my wall units. Some others were too short so I wouldn't be able to fit a lower layer of books under it once the item was flipped upside down, and some were too high on the sides so I wouldn't have been able to fit an upper layer of books above it once flipped. I needed something EXACTLY this height. I actually ordered 1 to try out first. I really debated getting the other 2 because of the issues I had, but ended up getting them because I couldn't find anything else the right height and I don't really have a way to build my own right now.

Bookcase is perfect for cookbooks on kitchen counter. I like the way that it adjusts in size to suit my countertop space and cookbooks once I got it put together. Assembly is not easy. Instructions consist of a few very small pictures with lettered parts. The bookcase pieces enclosed are not lettered thus making it very difficult assemble.

I was a little skeptical about this at first. I have lots of books I need to keep at hands reach. These are Coding books so they're not small. I must say I was really impressed with how well these work! Great value for the money. So glad I purchased them.

I would not recommend this product to anyone. The finish on the wood was peeling off in some places. Some of the pieces were chipped. The "manual" is a single sheet of paper with very unclear directions. The pieces were named on the directions, but not labelled on the pieces. I kept it because I am desperate for a book support and because it will be put in a place where it will hardly be visible. This is NOT the quality I am used to with products from Amazon.
