What is the best way to clean these brushes?

I use a plastic Dixie cup with cold water and after I use the brush I swish it around in the cup and rub it on the side against the ridges pulling up vertically only until it is clean. Do not let the brush sit in the cup as it will bend the brush hairs. Dry with a paper towel shaping the brush hairs to a point. I hope this helps.
