1903 - A3 Springfield Rifle Scope Mount

S&K quality! Second set of their mounts I’ve bought!

I put it on a sportarized 03-A3 had to do a little sanding on the stock for the band that goes around the barrel Dremel makes short work of that job.put it on this morning took it to the range sure about 25 rounds got really good groups mount stay tight. I used a set of low weaver mounts I put a 4 to 12 Bushnell scope on it the eyepiece of the Bushnell scope measures inch and five eights the bolt just clears the eyepiece worked out well

Finally decided to go with this mount and couldn’t be happier. Installation was a breeze once the old sights were off. My rifle is obviously not original and will only be used for hunting, so stock modifications weren’t an issue. Only a few minor adjustments and it was in place. Mount feels very solid and is well machined. I haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet. I will try to find time to update once I have. It looks like it’s going to work out great.

Seems solid, lots of fitting needed to stock and hand guard. Need extra tall rings or to grind or bend the bolt.I have low rating because two and a half week shipping on an item that was marked in stock. The delivery date kept on getting pushed back. The hand guard needed to be trimmed and the stock needed to be cut out to fit, not truly bolt on. If you are in no rush and don’t mind modding original rifle it’s worth a try.

I have a sporterized 1903a3 that I wanted to put a scope on. This was the only mount I could find that required no gunsmithing experience. All I had to do was dremel out the inside of the stock to make room for the ring that wraps around the barrel to stabilize the front of the mount. Quality of the rail is great! Works well with a Vortex Sonora.

Easy to install but you did still have to modify the upper front hand guard which may be an issue if you want to return it to original you have to have 2 hand guards one modified for the mount and one original. Removing the rear sight is pretty tough if you plan on returning your rifle back to open sight you may want to get a spare rear sight also.

Works great on my 1903A3. Bought the same one years ago and never used loctite. Last time I went to the range, on my last shot.. BOOM it had loosened up and pieces went flying everywhere. Bought a new one, used loctite, good to go.

Well it works as should now but did not just mount like they said.installed couple times due to came loose in rear after every shot.put slight tack weld on back works perpect.mine is sporter so didnt care deer rifle only.
