That Is Not a Good Idea!: An Interactive Read-Aloud About a Fox and Goose for Children (Ages 4-8)

Mo Williams is a FANTASTIC author. I am a preschool teacher and the children in my care love his books. He is the author of the pigeon series as well as the elephant and piggie series. This book title was mentioned on a FB group that I am a part of and I thought I would have to check it out. The children just love it! It is a very simple read just like all of his books, more based on the anticipation and the curiosity of the outcome, again, just like all of his books. It appears obvious to me that this was one of his first books, and that is an assumption, but it has an "older" feel to it with the art and simplicity. I purchased it in hardcover because that was my only option. I do not normally pay that much for a book, however, I really wanted to add it to my Mo Williams collection and I am glad that I did. Highly recommend.

This book is different and so fun!!! It has a really fun twist ending that kids (and even I as an adult) enjoy so much! The illustrations are fun and the characters are all mischievous and clever! Definitely add this one to your kids library at home!

This book was not what I, or my grandkid, had expected, but we love it! It has a great plot twist that always makes my grandkid laugh so we read it many times. I highly recommend this book.

We read this together as a library book--so very delightful! Such a surprise ending! We really needed to have a copy to keep. The quality of the book was as described, and very readable with my grandkids. They LOVE rereading it, even though the surprise element is a "known"...I think they feel like they have one-up on the old wolf! I will certainly reorder from this seller.

After reading this book, my 4 yr old grandson and I talked about what we thought was going to happen....before we read the whole book and understood what was really happening. It was great to talk about emotions, feelings, etc.and laughing about it all. Every time we read the book out loud, we get more and more into character with those in the book. Much fun! (Hey, if you aren't sure, head to your local library and find this, or any of Mo Willems' books. They make great gifts for babies, little ones, toddlers and beyond.

One of my son’s favorites. It simple, it’s short - and only mildly disturbing!

A really cute book but the ending isn't what you expect. The Wolf ends up in soup eaten by the goslings. I read it to a 5 year old who had the most stark look of disbelief on her face.

This book is a tale with a twist which challenges the perception of good and bad. It hooks the reader completely. When narrated to children interspersed with questions like ‘what do think will happen next’ , ‘should the duck listen’ etc. makes for an amazing read aloud . Simplicity of the text and pictures are perfect for 5 year olds

Un ouvrage très sympa et très utile avec des élèves de Cycle 3. Des dialogues adaptés aux élèves, une histoire vraiment agréable, une structure répétitive... de quoi permettre la réalisation d'un album numérique par exemple, ou encore d'une pièce de théâtre. Je suis complètement fan !
