Great movie, cool criterion case!
One of my top 3 Anderson films for sure. Stop motion is great along with the themes, characters, story, and humor. The criterion packaging was cool too. One of those things you should 100% buy when its on sale for 20 bucks.

Loving Criterion
The movie itself is great and a must have for any Wes Anderson lover. The case design is beautiful, and if you love bonus features and extras of movies you can't beat Criterion releases. Criterion also increases the visual quality of their releases, so if you want the absolute best visuals, this is the way to go.

Beautiful
The add in materials are wonderful. Writings about the production, a sample of Ash's comic book, very cool stuff. Visual presentation is fantastic. Unfortunately the "case" is a bit fragile and mine was damaged in shipping.

Bad movie, Great Blu Ray
I don’t really care for the movie but that isn’t Criterion’s fault. I knew I wouldn’t like it going in because it’s made by one of the most overrated directors of all time.

Masterpiece
This is one of those movies that has it all; phenomenal acting/voice-acting, an easy-to-follow and interesting story, unforgettable characters, several funny moments, suitable for all ages, a satisfying ending, and even a few life lessons. An absolutely amazing film that I cannot recommend strongly enough.

Feels fancy
I really enjoyed the amount of detail put into this. There’s an extra scene, and cool little booklet with poems, excerpts, and pictures. The quality of the case was wonderful as well. Just what I wanted!

Another Criterion Collection Review
What can I say about this particular release of the movie that hasn't already been said by people who bought the Criterion Collection edition. Well, compared to the 20th Century Fox blu-ray release, this definitely has more bonus features for anyone who wishes to know certain behind-the-scenes aspects. In terms of picture quality, the Criterion Collection release is slightly better than the earlier 20th Century Fox release, though unless you are a visual-phile it's not that big of a difference. This release is also the second time in over 20 years Criterion Collection has released an animated film (the first being the 1989 Streamline Dub of Akira on laserdisc); so for people who want to try and get Criterion Collection to release either cult-classic or obscure animated films, buying and supporting this release may help give Criterion Collection the incentive to do more animated film releases. Because otherwise the general consensus is that the only reason Criterion Collection is even giving this film a release is because it's part of Wes Anderson's directing catalog. One very minor nitpick I have about this release though is that unlike the earlier 20th Century Fox release which has both Spanish and French audio tracks and multiple subtitles, the Criterion Collection release sadly only has an English language audio track and subtitles. This makes it especially disheartening for those who wish to try and import this release..
