This is a substantial mat for it's size, I can use it on my knee as a wrap, but just barely. It works better as a wrap on my arms. I am a medium sized 5'4" woman. Mostly I have used it on my chair in my studio where it is quite chilly. Previously, I was using hot water bottle, this is so so so much better!
