Seachem Marine Buffer 250grams

Starting a new aquarium I was trying to get the pH to be between 8 and 8.5, so I used Seachem alkaline buffer that I had on hand already. It just could not get the pH past 8. Mixing it in a new gallon of distilled water, the best pH it could get without any acid buffer, but shaken thoroughly with marine salt, was a pH of 7.8 maybe 7.9. I even tried extreme dosage just to see what pH it could get to, and no better. So, I decided it was useless for my new brackish aquarium so I went with marine buffer instead. This stuff works, 1/8th a teaspoon brought my distilled gallon of water to a pH of 8.3 and a KH of 10 (including 4.5 Tbsp of marine salt and some Bee Shrimp Mineral GH+). Next gallon I will maybe use 1/16th of buffer to have less KH and see how the pH is, but for now I just needed the one supplemental gallon.

I would say this definitely did it's job, but it boosted my PH in both tanks extremely fast, so use sparingly especially if you have a smaller tank. I followed the directions in both my reef aquariums, and it boosted the pH a little too well. All of my corals and fish are doing much better with the balanced PH, but I will be using less than directed in the future to maintain because it worked so well. I love all of the Seachem products

Don’t use if you don’t want your alkalinity raised as well.

My marine tank water had a low pH of 7.8 and after using this for a week my pH is 8.3 and I couldn’t be happier.

I used this according to the instructions and it raised my ph to the perfect level.

Great value. Works well. When your PH is perfect, dose one more time and stop and monitor. Just tossing it in all the time, while it cant harm does cloud the water which will not clear up

海水水槽のＰＨ安定の為、また海水魚隔離治療時のトリートメントタンクＰＨ調整に使用しています。分量を多めに添加しても異常にＰＨが上昇する事もなく、せいぜい８．５程度までしか上昇しない様なので、安心して使用しています。当品を使用する様になってからＰＨが安定しており、海水魚・無脊椎の状態がとても良いです。

Not sure how it works. Phosphate level was measured only couple days after putting that stuff in my sump, and it was at 0.00. Dunno why I still have algae bloom, next thing to check is my Nitrates. But the stuff get brown after few days of use, so it absorbs something.
