Long remote range and works great!
The media could not be loaded. The whole house fan at my home was installed professionally with a remote that doesn’t need batteries. It worked for about a year and stopped responding. Got this RF relay and it took me about an hour to install, including few breaks to stretch my back. Fortunately there was a power turn off switch installed close to the fan, so I didn’t have to turn the circuit off. After testing for the presence of electricity, I was able to connect the neutral and power lines from the romex cable to the input, and the output neutral and power to the fan. Only connected the high speed wire (black) of the fan and capped off the low speed (red) wire. The remotes come paired and works great! See the included video of testing the mini remote in the attic.

Amazing range.
Worked at over 200 feet from outside house to inside. Next step is installing in waterproof box to control sprinkler system remotely.UPDATE 1/4/2021: Been wanting this for years! So far no failures since August. Still works at 200 feet. Installed in outdoor rated box along with 240 v relay (__wired in parallel to the existing timer box__) to control sprinkler pump remotely (zones change using a K-Rain 6000 4-zone indexing valve). The advantage comes when working on a sprinkler head on the other side of the yard (100ft sq) -- on the other side of the house -- I don't have to run back and forth to test the new sprinkler head -- just click through the other 3 zones to the zone I'm working on. Anytime I want to do extra watering outside the normal timer-controlled times/days, I just click on/'off through to the zone I want.

Great long range remote
I am using this to control the electric fence on my horse farm. It is a never ending job to keep all of the insulators and electric wires from having shorts. Normally I have to turn off the fence charger, walk to a problem place, fix the issue, walk back to the barn to turn on the fencer. Now I can walk the fence until I find a problem, turn the fence off, fix the problem and turn the fence back on. It really saves a lot of walking and time. I have tried the control from just over 1000' away and it works great. I wired the receiver with a male and female cord so that I can just plug the control into what ever unit I want to control. I wish I had found this years ago.

problems
This item was very easy to install and worked a few times. After turning it on 6 or seven times it stopped working. Although I hear it click on, the motor will just hum on my dust collector. Evidently the magnetic solenoid in the receiver is misaligned or not making full contact because every once in a while the motor will come on but not very often.

Works as advertised for remote for dust collection system.
Overall the product was compact and easy to install. My only complaint is that the wire attachments are rather shallow and exposed, potentially exposing someone to a rather nasty shock. I wrapped the unit with electrical tape to cover the bottom where the wires entered to alleviate this issue. Other than that minor criticism, the unit installed without problem and has worked flawlessly.

Works for my HF dust collector
It has now outlasted any of the "heavy duty" wireless plug gimmicks I've had. Super easy to wire up, I spliced it in a 12 GA extension cord and put in a project box. Range is pretty great and having the bonus little key fob is great to put in your pocket while you work in the shop. I can turn on my dust collection everywhere and for a fraction of the cost of hobby brands. I have it wired to control a harbor freight 2hp dust collector. They claim 2hp but I've only ever see it pull 10amps under peak load with a loaded filter.

Best remote for the DIYer and a real steal
Great device!! I put the receiver in a 4x4 box with an outlet on the output and a plug-in cord on the input. I can plug a vacuum into it in the garage, and start or stop it from my basement. Handles the power great, and the remotes transmit over huge distances and through tons of cinder blocks and walls. Saved me tons of wiring. And though not in the specs, I can attest that the small remote will go through at least one wash cycle (normal/hot) unfazed! An incredible bargain.

Easier than I thought to install.
I purchased this so that I could remotely turn on a block heater for a tractor in a shed about 70 yards from my house. I have used it a half dozen or so times so far, and it has worked every time. Signal from remote goes thru house and (metal) shed walls. It was easier to install than I anticipated. It works well for my purpose.Edit: I have now had this switch for over 3 years, used it dozens of times, and it has continued to work flawlessly.
