Great detail and clarity given the price.
For the price, I am not sure that you could get a better accessory for macro photography with the iPhone for the price. The photos that I have attached were taken with the iPhone 15 Pro Max using Halide with the APPLEPRORAW setting in macro mode with auto-focus. Other than the processing that would be done on the phone with those settings, I made no changes to the photos myself except for cropping. These photos were taken on the day I received the lens and in cloudy to partly-cloudy conditions. Note that the ants and smaller bees in these photos would be measured in cm not even mm. The brown-belted bumblebee is on swamp milkweed flowers, the furrow bees on purple cone flower and hawkweed (Heriacium sp.), and the ants on clustered mountain mint and lace-leaf coreopsis. The ones on the mountain mint were absolutely tiny. As you can see from the photos, the clarity and results it produced were great. I am just a guy with an iPhone and a large to medium sized native plant garden. I don't have any experience or training as a photographer let alone in macro photography. I am having an absolute ball taking photos and documenting the insects and plants in my garden and I am sure I'm already annoying my wife showing her every tiny little bug or new discovery about the plants. I have no idea, for example, that the tiny flowers on clustered mountain mint had small purple spots on them. If you enjoy taking pictures of small things with you phone, you will absolutely love using this lens. I am also not sure you can beat the price. I was a bit skeptical about using this but now I can't wait to try some other lenses. Do keep in mind that you will probably have to remove your case. I am not sure if they sell a phone case that is compatible or not.

With Otterbox, works with small mod
I'm lowering my rating. I am very pleased with the lens quality. However, there are rubbery pads on the clip that are glued on with a gummy adhesive that is extremely heat sensitive. In only moderately warm conditions, the pads slid off the clip and left behind a sticky, gummy surface. I'm afraid that with time, this will transfer to the lens. The pads on the clip need to be glued on with a better adhesive.Original review: I've been wanting to try a Smartphone macro lens for some time, but couldn't find one that would work with an Otterbox case. I have an old iPhone 6 Plus, and taking the Otterbox case on and off isn't practical. I bought this since it said it could fit my phone. It does, with a caveat. While the clip can hold onto the phone case, the lens doesn't lie flush. I tried using packaging tape to hold the end of the clip down, but it wasn't strong enough. Then I tried a heavy-duty rubber band, which came with my produce. That does the job, and I can leave it on the phone for convenience. As with most macro lenses, the entire image will not be in focus. Most images will still need to be cropped, but I do this with most of my pictures anyway. I'm including some pictures taken with the lens. All were taken by hand. Often I just set the bottom of the phone on the ground and then leaned it toward the object being photographed. The largest spider is incredibly small, about the size of a small sewing-pin head. Behind her you can see a smaller animal, which I didn't even realize was there. It was the size of a pencil dot on a piece of paper. Another photo shows a spider alone. This tiny creature was bigger than a pencil dot, but still quite small -- an sixth of a pin head? A different picture shows a basil leaf, and one can even see the pores. Very happy with this purchase. As long as the clip hold up, I'm good.

Pretty good!
The media could not be loaded. This is pretty good! Can take detailed pictures of my little aquarium critters but is very limited to distance from lens. Which is to be expected. Plus recording video is really hard when your subject is always moving out of range. haha

super macro close ups
Does a very nice job for super duper close ups on an iPhone.

Cat's Meow of Smartphone Macro Add-On Lenses
Spent some time looking for a macro lens attachment for my years old Huawei Mate 9 smartphone.Surprisingly there is very little difference in user ratings for macro attachments on Amazon. After studying those reviews and buying this unit I see the key point missed. This particular lens has a 100mm focal length and both magnifies the image and closer focusing to get macro images. Most of the other macros are simply intended to reduce focus distance on your wide angle smartphone lens to get a macro image. They in fact brag about their cheaper to produce single lens system not being tainted by extra glass elements. This is a ridiculous as quality multi element lenses can be produced that are much cleaner than smartphone base glass that is clouded up from spending its time in your pocket. It is further made ridiculous by the necessity to place these lenses 10-20mm from their in focus object. This causes huge problems in accessing the image and getting proper lighting on the subject. Instead you can operate at about 60mm focus distance using this lens with far more flexibility. For reference I have included photos of Lincoln's and Georges $5 $1 bill photos using my digital zoom to push it to limit. My only dislike of this product is that rear lens cover does not work on the full assembly. But not big problem. I simply use a piece of blue painters tape to keep it clean.
