Get this bad boy!
This a solid mic stand. The base is heavy enough to stay put but still light enough if you need to move it. The stand and soft grip work well to easily change height between speakers or performers. We use this mostly for at-home Karaoke nights, so I don't know how it would measure up to the rigors of touring, but it should be fine for local gigs. Also, keep an eye on it as the price does fluctuate throughout the year. An excellent, quality microphone stand that I expect to last a long time.

Solid construction and quality
Stand has a solid base (perfect weight for stability and mobility). Grip style lever for sliding mic height (up and down) very smooth and miles above any knob-turning style. Have read where vibration could be an issue with solid base stands vs. tripod base styles, but have not witnessed any vibration interference as it has been placed on concrete, vinyl tile, and wood flooring situations. I’ll be purchasing more from this company; it’s worth the money! Well done.

Very convenient and sturdy
I really like this microphone stand. Used it for a couple of programs so far and has been very sturdy. I think the push to raise feature is very genius. No need to un-tighten something to move the stand up or down. With just one hand you can raise the microphone. The only thing I would comment on would be that the base is a little wide. I understand its good for stability, but i would like to see it with maybe a heavier but smaller diameter base. But thats just a minor issue, other than that its great

I wouldn't recommend any less quality than this
You can get a cheaper mic stand, but I was impressed with this one, 12" standard. I don't know about the quick release option, but after reading the reviews the standard is fine with me. I've used a lot of mic stands in my day but the 12" seems heftier and more stable than the ones I've bought from music stores. It does take up a larger footprint, so it all depends on what you want to use it for. And an FYI, if you REALLY want some weight stability but don't care about appearance (eg studio work), you can always slip a free weight plate over it (or any stand). Ankle weights work, too. But for me, it's fine as is. Love the rubber baby buggy bumper on the bottom to protect the floor.

Worst Mic Stand I have ever had in my 30+ yrs
I bought this mic stand because they said how sturdy and heavy duty it is. Typically anything I get from Gator is great. Love my Gator cases. Understandably I am hard on mic stands. I have had to have them welded together to deal with my stage show. I sing for a band called Reflective Soul, we are a tribute to Collective Soul and Ed Roland uses the mic stand for numerous tricks and stage antics. Because of my size, I have to have a heavy duty mic stand to deal with this. There is twirling, kicking and catching, and one signature part of the show where the stand is used to hold me in a bent over position as I sing facing up. I was not able to do a single one of these things with this stand. I got it, and by the 3rd song in my set it was already broken. It would not tightened. The mic just kept falling from the height position to fully collapsed the entire show. This stand literally went from the box to the stage. Nothing in between. I have never been so disappointed in a stand before. The only saving grace is I used the bottom part of this stand to build a new stand out of galvenised pipe that will take my weight. For under $40. Thanks Gator.

Excellent mike stand
Really works well. Quick adjust, seems well made. Using it in a cabaret-style music review so adjustability is essential. The grip adjustment makes it very easy for the singers to set the correct height.

Nice mic stand
I haven't had it terribly long, true, but I won't be adjusting it much (if ever again, really), as I have it set up to hold a reflection shield. It will likely stay where it is for a long, long time. For a microphone, this is a pretty good stand. Don't expect it to work for a big LDC (6-10lbs/3-5kg), as it isn't quite up to that, but for a small mic, it is quite nice. As stated before, I did hook up a reflection shield to it, and it is OK if you don't actually extend the section with the grip. If you do extend it, the 1kg or so of the shield isn't well supported, and the section bends with the weight pretty badly. I am lucky in that this isn't a deal breaker for me, since I could anchor the top of the stand to my wall (due to proximity) and all is OK. Again, I'm not moving this thing around... So, if you need to use this for a small mic (something like an SM58), you're good to go. Go with something big, heavy, and on a side mounted shock mount, and it might not be the best for you. I'm giving it 4 stars, as I do think that it is nice for the price if you know what you're getting into and it fits your needs.

Rispecchia in pieno le mie aspettative, spedizione veloce e precisa, una stella in meno solo per il peso davvero eccessivo, ma è bella e fatta bene...

I bought it soecifically for holding a webcam for streaming and recording. Much better than a tripod as it's less cumbersome and not so easy to trip over. The weighted flat circular base enables the single slender vertical column with just the right amount of vertical adjustment. The 5/8" mic adapter was easily unscrewed revealing a standard 3/8" camera thread which fitted my ball and socket head.
