brand new right out of the box and the push button for the light does not...poor quality,,,for what it cost you think they might have a quality control process...was a gift for a friend and because it didnt work I felt really embarrassed

The media could not be loaded.  Is any survival kit really thorough and complete enough? You may include first-aid supplies, then wonder if you have enough bandages or antiseptic. You may include a water purification device, but do you have enough back-up filters? And when it comes to knives, which one is big enough or versatile enough? And how do you prepare for every climate and every season?This zombie prep kit is hilarious, a lot of fun, and also exquisitely well made. But what I like most about it is that it pokes fun at the very notion of the survival kit. This is an elaborate container with a light on one end and a compass on the other, and inside is a message about our collective fears (of the zombie horde) and the very idea that a survival kit will ever helps us out of this jam.I have my basement survival kit, my truck kit, and various bug-out bags -- so I'm as deeply invested in preparedness as anyone. But this zombie kit reminds me that it's more about our survival SKILLS AND ABILITIES than it is the quality and exhaustiveness of the kit. A good survivalist can do a lot with a little. A lousy one can do nothing with just about everything. So why not just have a spike and a breath mask as we face the uncertain future? It might just be all that we need.....................I was delighted to receive this item as a free sample from the guys at VSSL.
