Marble Collectors Handbook

this book doesn't cover everything I don't think any book does but it is a good start .

I ordered several of these books for my younger brother, he’s around 55 and he is really into collecting marbles. Anything constructive to keep everyone and all enjoying life. All the books add to his knowledge including this one. He really likes these marbles and he has quite a collection now.

The book has great, in depth coverage of certain marbles but I was looking for less specificity and a greater coverage of all marbles. I was also looking for prices. My fault for not being careful what I was buying.

cannot live with out

This is a fantastic marble book! It has a lot of detail, perfect for identifying, and a fantastic value guide! This marble book is very precise and has a lot of good information in it! I highly recommend getting this book if you are looking for a marble book that identifies, gives a good value price, and also has the names of companies who makes certain marbles along with the price. My fiance' and I have a bunch of marbles and I bought this book for him for his birthday and also for him to identify his marbles. He loves it! This book is a lot better than I expected or even hoped for!

I've only been into marble collecting/selling for about six months now, so I lean heavily on price and identification guides. I have consistently found the prices in this guide to be many times too high in my research, for online sales. The actual identification portion of the guide isn't very robust, but it does provide some useful information that the others do not. But honestly, I rarely use this book. I use it when the other guides I have leave me stumped and I need to cross-reference different opinions on particular features of a marble. Buy this book to supplement your library, but do not lean on it heavily for your identification purposes, especially as a price guide.

Amazing

Excellent general guide that's reasonably comprehensive.Good clear photos and descriptions, and whilst any marble collector will always want more photos and individual marbles shown, this is still a great book.The only real let-down is the European section, where French and Dutch marbles are all lumped under 'German'.

Lovely book fast service

If you believe every thing you read then you should not believe any thing you read in this book. Those in the know will understand that as a guide some would say it has no value but as a learning tool it is next to king. Well packed with information and loads of excellent photo's to guide both novice and the knowledgeable.

This book is my go to for identifying marbles.Wonderfully informative
