Maui JimMen's and Women's Makaha Polarized Rimless Sunglasses

Hands-down, the best sunglasses I’ve ever owned. The lens clarity is phenomenal. The fit on my head stays put, but doesn’t squeeze your head and give you a headache like a lot of other sunglasses. They are super light, and look great. This is my third pair over the years.

I purchased these glasses through Amazon fulfillment on 12/31/13 and they were carefully handled - I wore them mostly while driving. A few months later, one of the lenses broke at the top where the screw attaches the lens to the frame (called a stress crack). I paid $9.95 + shipping and sent them in to Maui Jim for warranty repair. A few days later I received a call from Maui Jim Repair explaining the company will not honor the warranty because these glasses were purchased through Amazon - not an authorized re-seller of their products. I had no idea there would be an issue, but probably should have known better. Regarding quality of this Maui Jim model - after reading many, many reviews with customers who have experienced the same lens failure (stress cracks) I believe this model is poorly designed and not durable, even if handled carefully. They look nice, felt good on my face, but are much too fragile for the average user. My advice - stay away from this model - they are not worth the $150.00 + cost. If you decide to purchase, make sure it's through an authorized re-seller or you will not have a warranty.

After having Maui Jim sunglasses for 20 years, my wife ordered some for me but I am disappointed in the decrease in the lens size. My eye barely looks through the lens without looking below the lens.I don’t feel they will protect my eyes as well as the old ones did.

I use to buy cheap sunglasses or knockoffs. But when I tried and saw the difference between Maui Jim and my “Fakeleys” I knew I had to have them. Being able to see straight through the glare coming from an on coming windshield blew my mind. And the first time I looked into a pond and saw fish, I knew it was going to be a game changer. I lost my first pair I ever owned and I was lost until I could afford another pair.

I am a Maui Jim fan from way back. I love these because they are light weight and the style can go from dressing up and going out to casual and playing at the beach. Stay on well and the small frame size fits my small face and features. Bought a second pair!
