Bought a cool cottage. Great view to lake from front door, but one butt-ugly trap door to concrete block basement immediately to right after walking in. Created changing room for guests, putting a grey shag carpet over ugly door, meeting height of floor. My husband had me on the search for a recessed handle, 5 or more inches his fingers could get in, and my "bad" arm could pull heavy door upward. I needed the fingers pull to face me. We couldn't find what we saw the answer in our minds. Thrilled to find this on Amazon with 4 screw install. 2 day shipping arrived on a Saturday during covid19 crisis when others quoting 3 weeks. These are sturdy hand holds that I installed on the back of a cabinet I built. They were easy to install and are good and strong. One small issue, the left and right sides have a sharp edge so be careful. It was easy enough to remove with a Dremel tool and I strongly suggest you do so.

I needed recessed pulls for the doors to the elevator I just had installed in my home so that they wouldn’t interfere with the cab door. Worked perfectly. The elevator company commented on how they were one of the cleanest looking they have seen installed.

Sturdy and comfortable, No sharp edges inside to hurt your hands, Well made. Used them on my 36”x36”x12” drawers that I made for my cal king box fame.

I was looking for a handle that you could actually get your fingers in, that look good also. This handle worked perfect and looks great too!

There is some inconsistency in the stamping and hole placement.
