Nuie X382 Viscount ǀ Traditional Bathroom Crosshead Handle Bath Taps, 84mm x 40mm, Chrome, Silver

The tap is well packaged and appears well made. It installs as easily as any bath tap bearing in mind the usual awkward spaces. I bought this tap for use in a low-pressure application because the text indicates that the taps are traditional compression (washer) cartridges. It was supplied with ceramic disc quarter turn cartridges which was not noticed until after installation. Ceramic discs are less suitable in low pressure applications and naturally the flow rates are lower than the conventional taps replaced. The overall performance is therefore not great. I will investigate changing the cartridges but this may not be practical. So initially it seems like a good tap for medium to high pressure applications. Had I known the problem I could have bought a cheaper tap that met my requirements but foolishly I thought I was buying some sort of branded quality.

Great tap and value for money

these are good taps BUT the Hot tap works the wrong way round e.g. clock-wise to open and anti-clockwise to close - weird and no reason or explanation why, otherwise they are 1/4 turn taps which look good.

Very happy with these taps, exactly what I was looking for and the cheapest I found (comparing exactly the same model on other websites) Prompt delivery, can't fault them!

easy to use and keep clean

I bought these taps in good faith. After 3 years of normal use the hot tap corroded badly. Whilst my query was dealt with promptly, the "technical department" said that it was my fault because I didn't remove the lime scale build up. How much build up can there be in 3 years. A good tap should last around 20 years.I'll replace the tap with one from a company that sells good quality products , not these people.
