I previously purchased another Wellmet crystal chandelier for my dining room and loved it, so when looking to replace my staircase light I saved myself hours of searching and went straight to the Wellmet collection and found this beautiful chandelier. Like the first one I purchased, each crystal had to be attached to a small clip and then hung individually. It did take a few hours for me to complete it, but I knew it would be worth it. We hung the dining room chandelier by ourselves and it was quick and easy. For this one we hired an electrician due to the awkward positioning of the ladder at the top of the stair landing, the height of the ceiling, and the weight of the fixture. Even he struggled with it, so just take note of where you’re planning to hang it and plan accordingly. It’s still heavy, but on a standard ceiling it’s probably much easier to hang. The crystals are a heavy glass, but durable because while hanging it several came off and hit the ground but didn’t crack or shatter. I was surprised that they didn’t. My stairs are wood with a carpet runner, so that probably saved them. This stunning chandelier is definitely worth the purchase if you’re willing to put in some time and effort!!

Beautiful chandelier

I couldn’t be more pleased with how this fixture turned out. It’s beautiful, and the end result is exactly what I expected. Getting there, however? That was a little harder than expected, partly I’m sure due to my own naïveté. The metal frame comes assembled. But every single one of those glass pieces had to be threaded with a metal bracket and then attached to the frame. Maybe all chandeliers are like that, but this was my first one. I’m ecstatically happy with it, no doubt. The process was just a lot more intense than I expected it to be. I would absolutely do it over again. Totally worth it!

This looks great in our small split level foyer!! But, takes hours to set it up.

I bought this to go with my other Edvivi chandeliers from Home Depot that are in the dining room and over the kitchen island. I couldn't find the right size in the Edvivi (about 14") for the foyer, so I had to resort to another manufacturer (Wellmet), fearing that it may not match perfectly. Well, it's as close to a perfect match as I'm going to get! The crystals (really glass) are the same shapes (teardrop and raindrop) on all chandeliers. The only thing is, there seems to be more space in between the crystals in this Wellmet chandelier than the Edvivi chandeliers. I would have preferred them a bit closer, but it's not a deal breaker. The other thing I liked is that the bottom portion is "optional"- about two tiers of crystals are optional, in case you don't want such a pointy bottom, which is perfect for me. My DR chandelier is not pointy on the bottom, it's more flat, so since I didn't use the bottom two tiers of the Wellmet, it now matches great with the DR! The only thing is, I think the crystals could have been clearer- there are some light scratches even though each crystal was individually wrapped and everything was packaged very well. Not looking forward to the day I have to clean each individual crystal, though....oh well, the price we pay for a nice chandelier that doesn't look like fake plastic (and I didn't have to pay $15,000 for three "real crystal" chandeliers from a ridiculously-priced lighting store).

This fixture is undeniably gorgeous. I’ve seen it for over $1000 elsewhere. But, you DO need patience. When I unboxed it, I wasn’t impressed with the color. I wanted it bronzier. Nothing that a can of Rust-oleum 2X Ultra Cover Paint+Primer in dark walnut couldn’t handle. Of course, set up outside. And hang the chandelier. I used zip ties. Don’t forget to do the chain. I stuffed cotton balls in the light sockets to prevent overspray. Don’t expect to do it all at once. If you’re like me (and I know I am🙂) you will obsess a little. Walk away. Then come back and look again. From all angles. Give it a couple of days after the last spray. You don’t want to bring that smell into the house. While you’re waiting, gather up all the crystals and the little hangers, and attach the hangers to the crystals while you’re watching TV. You think of me later. Also, I hung the first two top rows of crystals while it was hanging outside. The topmost tier is easy peezy. Don’t just mow through the subsequent tiers. Hang a few and step back. You’re on your own from there. While you’re at it, I would HIGHLY recommend installing a dimmer switch. And don't forget your E12 DIMMABLE bulbs. Soft white. You’re welcome!

This light is so beautiful and definitely makes a statement. It’s easy to hang. The crystals are time consuming to put on, but it’s so worth it!

Thus light is beautiful..the Crystal's are heavy and made of good quality. The crystals took a while to put on but worth it in the end it was easy to install.

Very easy to install and absolutely beautiful! It looks like it should be in a castle! Love it!
