I really like the bright and vivid light it produces!

Just received this and found several problems: 1) right out of the box the remote barely functioned. Sometimes I had to click a button ten times before I got a response. As batteries are not included I put in two brand new Duracell AAA batteries. 2) When I tried out the remote I was sitting no more than 18" from the receiver. At anything much further away the remote did not function. Even at 18" away it barely functioned as noted above in point #1. Seeing as how these lights would be mounted on my eaves where I'd be probably 5 feet away, I have no hope of getting this to work reliably. 3) The problematic remote is the only way to control these lights. If the remote stopped working altogether I would have no way to operate the lights. As compared to your typical TV, if the remote won't work you still have access to buttons on the TV itself to turn it on/off, change channels and volume. No such functionality with these lights. 4) The colors were not true. When I would select one of the blue colors I would get a shade of green. There are 3 or 4 buttons that denote a shade of purple, and for three of them I could tell no difference between them. Red is a shade of orange. 5) The instructions that were included were very sparse, incomplete, and bore little resemblance to the actual unit that I received. 6) The different modes on the remote were mostly unusable to me. Two of them resulted in a dizzying disco pulsation that would probably draw complaints from my neighbors. The Fade was okay but inconsistent. Sometimes it would fade to black before the next color would appear. Sometimes it would go from one color to another. 7) The minimal instructions give no info as to how to use or program the remote. I spent many minutes using trial and error to see what would happen if I pressed a certain button, and I tried different button combinations to see what would happen. There is very little functionality with this remote. 8) Strangely, no where on the package or on any of the inserts was there any contact info for the company. No company name, no company address, no customer service phone number, email or website. If you have a question or problem there is no way to contact the company directly. On the positive side, some of the colors looked bright and pleasant. Overall I vote NO for this product and am therefore returning it to Amazon. Thank you Amazon for free returns on this product!

The media could not be loaded. Bright , i ran them with an inverter .

Purchased 3 of different length. All have failed one way or another. One shorted out and caught fire. One completely stopped working and all have had sections fail. See pics.
