Freeze dried dog food
Really good and natural dog food also for all life stages! My dog is a Labrador retriever and he always eats like he’s starving so was always having a hard time with kibble since he wasn’t chewing those then throwing up :(..I used to have to soak the kibbles which it doesn’t seemed like a good solution. When I tried this problem solved, you add warm water and then boom food is ready to eat. It’s been a lifesaver for this matter and also when going to potty it’s usually solid so I highly recommend this dog food.

Real food! But watch out for major price changes!!
UPDATE: the price on Amazon changes dramatically and suddenly! I bought it for the first time for $53 instead and subscribed. The price jumped up to $75! It's cheaper in my local store for $73. I'll wait for the price to return before renewing my subscription.I have so many dogs with so many needs. Vets say that the best-to-worst order of store-bought dog food is (1) raw, (2) freeze-dried, (3) canned, then (4) kibble, assuming that the ingredients are otherwise equal in quality and content. But if you have multiple dogs, you know how expensive it is to have your dogs eat raw all the time. We have 5 big and small dogs (pit bull, akc chihuahuas, dachshunds, KC cavaliers) with very different appetites, tastes, needs, ages, and activity levels. We wanted to get them off of the same-old kibble and took a sample of this home to try.The ingredients are rated 5-stars on Dog Food Adviser, human-grade, grain-free, preservative-free, real chunks of pre-cooked chicken, and made in the USA. It smells like instant-ramen once mixed with warm water. But would our picky dogs eat this? All of our dogs (and even cats) LOVE this mix. As soon as I reach for the bag in the fridge, they come running. They have more energy, are maintaining healthy weights, and are naturally drinking more water. Switching dog food can upset stomachs, but changing overnight to this human-grade food was seamless for every dog in our house. We now subscribe to this on Amazon, and 1 bag lasts a month for 5 dogs being fed 2x a day.Note: the difference between this and the Grandma Lucy Artisan food is that this is made of chickpeas (which provides more protein) and not potatoes (higher glucose), hence the slightly costlier price.

Excellent for young & young at heart dogs!
I ordered Grandma Lucy’s for my elderly Baby, Phoebe Amanda. She was diagnosed with leukemia fall of 2017 & nutrition was that only way to fight the cancer at that stage. She needed dental work, but our vet advised that we avoid anesthesia so it was important to find a good quality, nutritious food she could eat in comfort. I’d been using Honest Kitchen bone broth (another great product) along with the Honest Kitchen human quality dehydrated soup/stew & she loved those, but I noticed she seemed to be having more difficulties eating them. That’s when I found Grandma Lucy’s human grade foods & saw that these were not so much “chunks” of dehydrated foods, but “shaved/grated” into very small pieces (except for some easily cut/broken pieces of chicken. Phoebe enjoyed the chicken soup & the Salmon variety & because she had given her entire life serving me as a skilled Service Dog & my BFF, there was nothing I wouldn’t do to help her. We were able to drastically slow the progress of the Leukemia with good nutrition & supplements. She survived until February 2019 when a fast growing tumor in her spleen caused severe anemia & other side effects. I’m grateful to products from Grandma Lucy’s, Honest Kitchen, Stella & Chewy’s, Natural Instincts, Zukes and others along from Amazon that all helped to extend her life & helped her enjoy the extra time. Being a disabled Senior who no longer drives out of our small town to shop, Amazon & their Subscribe & Save program enabled me to give her the quality foods & supplements I wanted her to have. Information from a wonderful book (available from Amazon) Canine Nutrigenomics The New Science of Feeding Your Dog for Optimum Health by W. Jean Dodd’s, DVM & Diana R. Laverdure guided my decisions in treating her cancer, old age & creaky joints. This is a valuable resource that I have in Kindle o my computers & phone along with 2 printed versions (for myself & one to loan until folks get their own).

My dog loved it
My dog is picky I will start out with... so the title says she loved it... which she did initially, but then like most other foods they slowly became less interested. I have a redbone coonhound that is a very big part of the family so we want to feed her only the best. The food itself seems amazing and even smells good, but when it comes to my dog's lost interest costing me this much I decided the cost factor overtook the quality ratio. Pet food advisor gives this food a 5 star rating, but they also rate taste of the wild as a 5 in certain varieties, which I can feed my dog for significantly less. So I do rate this good, but mostly dropped a star over price.

My dog loves this!
Great replacement for canned dog food - no more having to deal with recycling 30 cans/month, my pooch loves it (she’s a picky eater), and the food is clean.

Great dog food choice
I looked high and low for a healthy alternative to the dog food my overweight senior dog was on. Previously, I had him on Science Hill Light canned and at only 3.5 % fat he did lose weight. Unfortunately, it also had the lowest rating for over all nutrition. Determined to find a better dog food I put him on Orijens Senior dried but he gained back 3 pounds in 3 weeks. I found Grandma Lucys Chicken freeze dried at a local pet store. It read 9% fat ( minimum) where as all the others were 15% and higher so I bought the Chicken. Since he has been on it he has dropped 2 pounds and I must say I'm very pleased. The food is easy to make and smells delicious. My dog loves it! I decided to look for it on Amazon and I got a 10 pound bag for the cost of a 6 pound bag ( 3 pound bag x2). Also, it had a long expiration date which further pleased me since I was skeptical that I might get an " old" batch". Thank you Amazon! You guys are terrific!
