Good to have on hand!
I needed to use this since my tank hadn't fully cycled yet, but I do have plants so I wasn't relying on this entirely. It seems to help perk up the system and assist the tail end of the cycle so you don't have to wait for ammonia to build up before you start getting the beneficial bacteria. I'd buy again!

This is a good product for cycling your aquarium
I've bought this brand before that's why I bought it again wish I had bought the bigger bottle because I actually bought it for a 5 gallon and switched to a 10 gallon and this bottle is actually for a 5 gallon. But I like this brand I've never had any problems with this brand and now I like buying it online with Amazon

Wow!!
Not sure if this really worked, I started up a new quarantine tank yesterday (20 gallon) and added the whole bottle plus bacteria starter and prime and today when I checked the nitrates today and it was around 0.10 which is really good for a brand new tank cycle ! I’ll test the theory again with just the product only next time but no complaints!

Really does add good bacteria to your tank
I don't know much about fish or anything aquatic to be honest. I got a betta fish from Petco but it seemed like he developed some sort of popeye within hours of having him, he stopped swimming and eating for about a week and I thought that was it. I learned about needing to have a tank prepped with good bacteria prior to adding fish and quickly bought this on amazon to see if it would help him. I'm assuming the little floating particles were the bacteria starting to grow, and soon, he started to eat, and swim too. My little guy has been living for a few months now and is now a very fat fella. Thanks.

API Tank Starter
What can i say about this. If you are in the aquarium business you probably have stock in this stuff too. We buy this at least once or twice a year, about everytime we start a new tank which is often enough. We use existing biologicals that from our filters and tanks but we also toss in a cap or 2 of this stuff as well. Always had great results.
