This is a great little doggie Litter Box! Its very well made! Its the perfect size for my 7 lb. miniature female poodle!. She likes room to circle and find a spot before she does her business! I live on the 10th floor of a high-rise condo building, so I trained my puppy to the doggie litter box. She's over a year now and is 100% trained to the box. Because the top layer is a green AstroTurf type of material, she has no problem using the grass outside when we are out and about. I like this particular Doggie Litter Box System because of the layer system.LAYER #1: The box is a heavy duty, durable plastic with sides and does NOT leak.LAYER #2: You lay a Jumbo Sized doggie pee pad on top of the floor of the plastic box. You can fold the edges to fit perfectly. You can change out the pee pad as often as needed. In my case, I change it weekly.LAYER #3: The plastic grate layer keeps the Astro Turf separated from the pee pad. The holes are well spaced so the pee goes straight through to the pee pad. The grate is a sturdy, heavy duty plastic.LAYER #4: The Astro Turf layer is cut to the size of the box and you receive two, so one can be cleaned while the other is being used. This particular turf has a very porous backing so the pee goes straight thru immediately. The poop sits on top and is easily removed with a poop bag or scoop. (I've learned that my dog will not pee in the box if there is a poop on the turf!! Prissy!)CLEANING: In my case, I take the box outside and take it apart about once a month to clean it; I spray the plastic box, the grate and the Astro Turf parts with a 409 - 99% - disinfectant spray on all sides and let it sit a few minutes; Then I hose it all down with a powerful spray nozzle on all sides; I leave it outside about an hour to drip dry. Trick: Use a skirt hanger with the two pinch holders to hold the Astro Turf pad during cleaning and drip drying. Works great!This Doggie Litter Box System is NOT messy and disgusting like a kitty litter box! Its all contained and all you see is a grassy patch! The best compliment to this Doggie Litter Box system is that my high-rise condo neighbors are jealous! They are taking their small dogs out 6-8 times a day - rain or shine! I would recommend this system whether you are in a high-rise condo or a single family home if you have a small dog, but the dog needs to be trained to the litter box as a puppy!

We have 5 dogs from 70 lbs. to 30 lbs. They are house broken but our smaller babies sometimes had accidents if left to long. All 5 have use this with no training. They seem to like having the alternative when it is extremely cold or storming or Mom has to many errands in a day. The smaller dogs used it within a week and the larger dogs used it shortly after that when we had several storm days in a row. I did spray it once with the Go Here spray, and mine got the concept very quickly. We have the largest size and change the pad weekly, we spray down with Odoban and rinse off to clean but mine do most of their business outside still. If we have several rainy days I will check to see if the pad needs to be change more frequently. This has been a great product for us.

We have no grass. This serves as a place for a dog to potty.. Cleans up really good with a hose.

I purchased the 34” x 23” pad in August 2022. It has held up fabulously well. I decided to buy a new one just for sanitary purposes. The tray is heavy weight plastic, and durable, as are the grates used under the grass. The grass has held up well also. Their pee pads are very absorbent, fit the tray perfectly, and the only brand that I would buy. I have to admit I go about two weeks between cleanings, (sometimes I replace the pad between complete cleanings, although I see now they recommend cleaning more often. But I have never had an issue with it being smelly. Even if your dog is smaller, mine is 17 lbs, this is a good size if you have a spot for it. My puppy took to it right away, as we live in the desert, where summer temperatures can get up to 122*, and she kept going potty in the house, vs going outside to potty. Once I put the mat down it was easy to train her to use it. Personally, I soak the mat in the tray with a solution of Dawn and vinegar for half hour, then rinse everything with a hose, and let them dry outside. If this isn’t an option for you, I guess the mat could be soaked in a sink, or hosed off in a shower. Again, I even asked guests if they can smell the pad, and none have, so works for me!

The HQ4us Dog Grass Pad with Tray has potential, especially for small apartments. The size is convenient, the concept is great, and the grass pad has a realistic look. It’s easy to set up and seems like a practical solution for indoor pet use.However, the durability is a big letdown. My dog chewed through not just the grass pad but also the plastic tray within minutes. On top of that, the tray holds onto odors even with regular cleaning, which isn’t ideal for a small space.While it might work for smaller or less destructive dogs, it didn’t meet my expectations. A good idea, but the materials need an upgrade. A fair 3 stars!

I was hesitant about using an indoor potty for my pups but with the cold weather and a few sightings of coyotes in my backyard I felt it necessary . My pups took to it right away and although cleaning it isn’t my favorite thing to do, it’s better than cleaning up messes on my flooring. I take the mat outside and use a hose to clean it. I change out the grass twice a week, and so far it’s holding up great. I do use a urine enzyme spray on the grass to help with any lingering odors. I would recommend this mat !

Our miniature rat terrier, JJ, loves to poo on these! They're lightweight and easy to clean. And they come with an extra grass mat. Great value!
