Great color depositing gloss
This gloss has a pleasant scent and provides rich color. It lasts around two weeks, depending on how frequently you wash your hair. While it leaves the hair relatively smooth, keep in mind that it can stain towels, so it's best to use a separate one for your head. I have purchased this product multiple times and will continue to do so.

Blends grays in brown hair
I use the Medium Brown, which is close to my natural color, and it blends my grays through several shampoos. I apply to dry hair (w/ rubber gloves) for about 15 mins then wash. One bottle will last me a long time. So easy and so so much cheaper than my last $200 gloss at a salon. (I do not have a ton of gray and it also does not cover them completely, only helps blend.)

Works very well for intended purpose
I purchased this after having a conversation with my hair stylist about gray blending, which involves coloring your hair to deemphasize the contrast between your primary hair color and your gray hair---the process is intended to blend and not cover gray. She explained there are a couple of ways she could do hair blending, including applying a hair gloss . I loved the concept, but didn't love the idea of paying to have it professionally done every 8 weeks. Enter this hair gloss. I use it every weekend for between 10 and 20 minutes, as directed, and it livens up my natural brunette hair color and deposits a subtle color to my gray hairs. The change is subtle, but exactly what I was hoping for. For reference, I am using on virgin brunette hair.As the manufacturer notes on both the product page and the product bottle, this will not cover gray. If that's what you are looking for, opt for a hair dye that contains chemicals that will help the color penetrate your hair follicle. This is intended for subtle, temporary boosts of color.Note that yes, the brown color will dye your hands when you apply to your hair---it is intended to deposit color, after all. Just wash your hands and it comes off. If you wash your hands a reasonable number of times, the color will come off the same day you use it. Or, you can use disposable gloves to apply the product.

Not repurchasing
So this stuff is just ok. I just finished a bottle that lasted me a couple of years as I only used it every couple of months. No offending odor which I appreciate and color selection good. I used medium brown. However, as this barely (almost not at all) tints my grays, and when it does, only for like 2 shampoos, not worth the effort for me at all. Note I use extremely gentle shampoo. I’ve used other semi permanent formulas that last way longer and do tint my grays. Also, my curls despise dimethicone so after each use it took me over a week or more to get curls back to normal. It’s clearly working well for some, but just not worth the effort for me.

Excellent results for a semi permanent gloss
I wanted to reduce exposure to the toxic chemicals in salon color for health and wellness reasons. This turns out to be a fantastic alternative. I’m using a color that closely matches my own to reduce the greys. It won’t completely eliminate grey but it colors and softens them enough that they either blend in or look like highlights. And added benefit is this costs a lot less than salon treatment. One of these bottles gives me several treatments.

Gloss/oil takes away color!
Oil takes away color. I have soft 4c African hair and the gloss will not allow the color to stay on the gray areas. . Really enjoyed the color for a day or so. Sad because this is expensive.

Go darker
Like others, I found this to be a deep red and not a medium brown. It turned orange after washing and tomorrow I will be using box dye to try to fix. I do not recommend this brown if you are looking for a true brown color.

It did what I was wanting it to!
I’ve had a gloss done professionally and I loved how it made my hair soft and blended my grays. I wanted to have it done again, but I was curious to try it at home and see if it would work. I just did it today and am happy with the results! You can see the before and after photos. My hair feels soft and healthy and my grays are less noticeable! I’m 27 and having a baby soon (so I’m not ready to be gray!) and am so happy to have found an affordable way to hide my grays without permanently coloring my hair! I only used about 1/4 of the bottle and my hair is pretty thick. I didn’t add as much to my tips as I did to my roots since I was wanting the color more on my roots. I probably could have put more in my hair, but honestly, what I did is adequate for what I’m wanting! You may just need more if you’re trying to do a more drastic color change. I was trying to keep my hair looking as natural as possible and the medium brown definitely did the trick!
