I am happy with these running boards
I wanted this style of running boards for my 2017 Silverado extended cab truck. I debated on several different brands, weighing the style, cost and availability. I almost didn't buy these because they do not come with the brackets. So, even through I liked the style and the price, I was concerned about buying brackets separately, especially since they did not give any help on the company's Amazon page for the brackets that would fit. This uncertainty made me stay away from these for a while. I had to research through their website and on Amazon. I also had to order the brackets separately. Delivery of the running boards was quick, but the delivery of the brackets was much longer. So, I had to wait a couple of weeks after the delivery of the running boards for the installation, as I waited for the brackets. The installation was easy and quick. In addition to the looks of the running boards, I do think the quality is very good. They are light and strong and seem like they will stand up over time. I would recommend these running boards, if you don't mind getting the brackets elsewhere.

Great product… couple of install tips should help.
OK, so I just got done installing these on my 2016 Colorado. First, these are overall well built boards and I picked them because it appeared they fit a little more flush with the truck than the GM ones. And now that I've installed them, I can say that I like the fit and how they look "integrated" like they are part of the bottom of the truck. Also makes it easier to get in and out of the thing.I gave it four stars because there are a few things that could make this better. The brackets (which I suppose are technically a different product) are very difficult to line up, especially the upper bolt. It is especially difficult to get the upper bolt started. It'll start to go in at an angle, but it'll eventually straighten itself out. You'll need a long and a short 13mm socket, because the back bracket (on a 2016 Colorado Ext. Cab) had part of the frame in the way for a long socket. You can use a wrench, but it is a pain. It would be nice to have a torque spec on the nuts/bolts. If there was one I didn't see it, and I ended up stripping one bolt off underneath one of the boards. I also ended up putting the one bracket in the wrong mounting point on the truck body. This was my fault, because that is in fact in the instructions, but I didn't exactly appreciate that there were four mounting points on the truck and only three brackets. So I have the back bracket on the driver's side further up than it should be. Problem is when I went to move it back, the bolts underneath the board had dug into the plastic from me tightening the nut, and I could not get them loose to move them into the new position. I whacked them a couple of times with a mallet, but they are dug in there. So they will stay where they are at, and I'll just have to remember to not stand on the running board and reach into the bed on that side. Also, it would be nice if they gave you one extra mounting clip, bolt, and nut. I can't fault them too much for that, because no manufacturer (of anything) really does, but it seems to me it would be a customer friendly thing to do for only adding a few cents extra to the cost. So I had one of the mounting clips fall inside the truck's frame when I tried to pull it out to move it to the back mounting point. I searched around inside the frame rail with a magnet for a half hour trying to get it out, but never could find it. So at some point I'll have to call them for an extra clip so I can have two bolts on the back bracket. Oh well…Overall, it's a nice product, and at about 100 bucks less than the GM, totally worth it for a more flush fit to the truck. I uploaded a pic so you can see how the boards sit flush on a 2016 Colorado Extended Cab.

Looks Good on 14 Silverado LT
I have these in all black. I think these look spectacular on a 2014 Silverado LT (without the unnecessary, ridiculous chrome door handles, of course). I do wish that the panel on the angle ends was a but more flush, even a thinner material. It looks kind of just... thrown on there and on one end on each of my running boards the panel fits differently than the other end (not as well, there's more of a gap). It's not a big deal but... common. I wish you could adjust how much they tuck up to the truck but these are still higher up than the OEM running boards which were so huge that all they did was make me trip getting out of the truck and sometimes hit the curb when (this is not legal) going around the idiots who block right turns by jumping curbs like a boss. Anywho, if you get these all in black, they're pretty much all plastic except for the mounts which I like - no rust. They are sturdy and the installation procedure was easy as sin so... good deal. I recommend them.

So easy to install and just what I wanted in a truck step. Be sure to get the mounting brackets. There is no drilling required and it took me less than 15 minutes to install.

I think these look better on a road vehicle than nerf bars and provide more surface area to step on. Prefer nerf bars for off road trucks.
