Using basic iPad 10.2 inch, ninth (9th) generation. This case is perfect for basic cosmetic protection while adding minimal weight. There's nothing I'd change about it for my purposes. For a lightweight cosmetic-protecting case, this is all you need and there's no need to spend more. The trifold stand works great on solid surfaces. For your lap or laying in bed, I recommend a pillow stand (Lamicall makes some great ones). This case works perfectly with the pillow stand I bought. One thing I'd appreciate is a magnet that keep's the flap connected to the back in the fully open state.After about 6 months of use, a small piece of plastic that surrounds the sleep/power button broke off; not from a drop, but just because I believe it's an area that requires the plastic to be relatively thin due to the geometry of the sleep button position. I reached out to ESR and told them of the situation and they are replacing my product free of charge. Big fan of ESR and their products. I've bought iPads for my partner and a parent and one of these cases to go along with it.

Very nice case, easy to install. My grandson really is enjoying this cover. So easy to put on. I got the black and it looks so expensive.

I was looking for a light case that was durable, something I could use around the house. This does well. Two drawbacks lose it one star: the lower angle horizontal position is less stable than the higher one. And this case does not support any vertical positioning on a desk or table. The price and materials of this unit makes it a good value

The is my third one and have been very happy with this product. Great fit and durable.

We ordered a different case previously that didn't work well. This case snaps onto the tablet and grips it securely.

This is my second ESR Lightweight Hard Case, the first is for a different iPad and is 5 years old and looks nearly new

I’ve had similar cases for other iPads that lasted longer. I’ve had this one since September 2022. I noticed today, after no drops that part of one of the corners has broken away, no longer allowing that iPad to snap in place. I’ve had it a year and 4 months, much shorter than the lives of previous cases and suddenly noticed the break.Disappointed in the lack of longevity.

Is my second time buying this case. I have had many iPads over the years and I like something simple, light and thin but also show case the back design of the iPad. This one does it all with protection as well. The back part is hard plastic and in my opinion is better the silicon as they don’t get finger print /greasy not turn yellow .

This was an upgrade from my Air 2 which had a dying battery - my old device was on the way out but had 7 years good use with lots of streaming. However, it only had 16gb memory which was preventing me from using apps/downloading web pages and updates. The great thing is the transition of all my apps/emails/photos/files etc literally took less than 15 mins via bluetooth onto the new ipad. Amazing technology. The only thing I had to do was delete and reinstall the Amazon Prime app as I couldn’t sign in to Prime on the new device. This took less than a minute.The new Ipad 8th generation has an incredible memory capacity compared to my Air2 and is mega fast with several new default apps including a word processing app.Great price (actually cheaper than what I paid for the Air 2 7 years ago) and arrived within 24 hours.Very pleased. Compatible with my existing bluetooth headphones/usb leads etc.The hard case is ok as a temporary case - switches to sleep mode when closed and stands up. I will look for a more sturdy case with more padding though
