My husband is very difficult to buy for and he considers himself a 'knife snob', only liking certain kinds of knives. I went out on a limb and got him the Parker River Classic model and he loves it. It is the 'right size' knife to carry according to him and has a thumb stud to open it so he can open it with one hand and the blade locks. He said this was the best knife I ever got him and he carries it everyday with him. He proudly shows the knife to anyone that asks about it - it looks like a real old school classic knife on the outside but the blades durability and utility is a awesome.

I recently ordered an engraved Parker River knife for one of the Boy Scouts in our troop as a gift for his Eagle Scout Ceremony. The knife came boxed inside a rustic burlap sack with a shiny penny. I ordered a dozen knives just before Christmas to give as gifts to my guy friends. The laser engraving was perfect and everyone loved the knives. I also got a Captain's knife for myself and have been putting it through Hell (I work on a tugboat ) and it is one solid knife. I will be back for more!
