Decent pair of pants
As someone who wears work pants on a daily basis, I was excited to try out the Dickies Men's Slim Taper Stretch Twill Work Pant. Overall, I found them to be a solid choice with a few minor criticisms.First off, the stretch twill material is comfortable and allows for a great range of motion, which is essential when doing manual labor. The slim taper cut gives a modern look and is flattering on most body types. The pants also have plenty of pockets, including a cell phone pocket, which is a nice touch. However, there are a few drawbacks to these pants. For one, the sizing is a bit off. I found that the waist ran slightly smaller than other brands, and the length was longer than expected. Additionally, the material tends to attract lint and pet hair, so you'll need to keep a lint roller handy. Finally, while the pants are advertised as being "wrinkle resistant," I found that they did wrinkle a bit more than other work pants I've worn. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's worth noting. The Dickies Men's Slim Taper Stretch Twill Work Pant is a solid choice for anyone looking for a modern, comfortable work pant. Just be sure to order a size up and keep a lint roller handy.

Solid pants.
Very useful and flattering on me, fits my leg length perfectly. I love the phone pocket. Easy to wash, easier to air dry, and breathable to boot!

a modern take on a great classic
Aside from the awesome fact that Dickies are tough work pants that won't wear out, I've always had the nagging problems with the sizing & fit. My first pair of 36x30 874's were too tight because I forgot to size up accordingly. I went to 38x30 and they fit better, but there's still constriction at the crotch & seat if you don't adjust your pants right before sitting down. I ceased to wear the loose-fit double-knee pants because my boss said they weren't dressy enough. So thus began the search for pants that 1) wouldn't wear out, 2) looked dressy, 3) fit right, and 4) didn't cost too much. Two days ago, I accidentally splashed bleach all over my 874's while cleaning the parking lot and didn't notice until the stains set in an hour later. Talks with my mom deduced that my 874's weren't worth dyeing black again at the price and amount of labor needed. I had these Slim-Taper Stretch-twill pants in the back of my mind, but now that I'm over the age of 25, I'm always skeptical of new trends, especially that CASTRATING skinny trend going on right now. I decided to take a shot at the Slim-tapers since my 874's have slightly big leg openings, and hoped that the Slim-tapers weren't TOO skinny. Thanks to Amazon prime, the package was ordered late Monday afternoon and came in early Wednesday afternoon just in time before evening church services.I tried these on, and MAN. What an IMPROVEMENT over the 874's! First off, I'm neither slim nor skinny - at 5'7" and 190lbs, I'm definitely shorter and huskier than your average metro-trendy-looking dude on the market. In 38x30, which just so happens to be one of the last sizes you can order in, these pants are COMFORTABLE. These don't grab your crotch or seat unlike those thieving 874's! The fit on these is perfect as well - the waist sits well, and the legs taper down just enough so you look slim enough to be proper, but not baggy enough to hide a shotgun down your pant legs? And did I mention that the fabric feels SMOOTHER than your average 874? It's easier to break-in, I guess. This is a plus for those of us that must walk a lot for our work.I'm not exactly sure why people don't like the cellphone pocket. I don't use it for my cellphone myself, but most Dickies pockets are SMALL compared to other pockets on other pants that I have. It's a great pen pocket when your main right-handed front pocket is stuffed with your wallet and your left pocket with your keys!Price is a little higher than 874's and the loose-fit double-knee (price + CA sales PENALTY came out to about $25). But hey, if the price of Dickies pants is always fixed and they fit better, what hurt can $2-3 extra dollars do over the course of several years?Bottom line: I'm DEFINITELY a fan. If you're tired of your 874's penalizing your pelvis, spend $2-3 extra on these Slim-tapers and get comfort and style for the best price!

Nooo What Happened
I purchased over 6 pairs in the same size over the years for work and never had any issues. Recently I purchased the same size and it felt like a size or two smaller. I'm not sure if I should order a size up or look for something else now.

Runs Short. Terrible knots on the stitching. Terrible customer service
Fit in the waist, thighs, calves, and butt are all great. These would be the perfect pair of pants but, there is practically zero room in the groin and they run way short. I wear a 30W30L normally but these are above my ankles (forgot that Dickies did that, had a pair years ago). I'd exchange for a 32L but the zero groin room, seriously zero, splits you in half, makes them far too uncomfortable to wear more than once.Update after literally 1 day of wear, not yet washed. Dickies quality has seriously declined, or I have some bad pants. Last time I bought Dickies was 10 or so years ago, had to toss the only black pair I had due to a mishap with bleach. Wore them constantly in industrial setting and was ROUGH on them. They were flawless from stitching to fit until they got covered in bleach. Throughout my worknight day 1 with these pants, constantly found loose/unknotted threads in basically every seam. No biggie right? Apply heat via lighter and it bonds the thread to the stitch hole, good to go. Nope. Way too much wrong with these. These pants had terrible finishing knots on their stitching. So terrible that the back right pocket, where seam met pant, came fully undone with no physical force, it just came undone. Without hand stitching it back on properly, the whole damned pocket would fall off in a few days.Another update - several months later. I emailed Dickies and recieved a replacement pair; however, they failed to send the correct size. This happened 3 times despite me VERY CLEARLY telling them what size I needed each time and how appreciative I was for their attempts to correct the wrong. MONTHS later and I have 4 pairs of Dickies. 1 I paid for that started falling apart at the seams on day 1, and 3 freaking pairs that don't fit. Will never buy dickies again. Poor quality, poor customer service. They used to be top of the line on both.
