Does not look as described but is still the best watt meter for the price
The watt meter looks very different from what is shown in the picture. It does not even have backlit display. There is one red LED light above the display to indicate whether the device is turned on. However, other than the looks, the device is the most competitive watt meter for the price. The pros are:- It displays the Voltage, ampere, power-factor and frequency in real-time- It has memory of the energy consumed along with the time it was operational.- It has a CR2032 battery to view the stored memory when plugged out of the socket- It has a manual which explains the operations and the operating procedures are intuitiveThe cons:- It does not have LED backlit display which means it is difficult to read in night or even in low lit locations- It has only a 10A plug and socket. I can understand the 10A plug but the socket could have been made larger with spring based expanders to accommodate larger plugs- The socket is pretty tightly closed by plastic valves and one needs to press the plug of the appliance hard to insert.- The cost and CO2 emission function is useless as it simply uses a constant multiplier which anyone can do using mental math. This functionality is a waste.Overall, the main feature which makes this wattmeter stand out is its operation using battery. The battery based operation takes out the drawbacks caused by lack of backlit display and makes it very easy to use on the go. The plugs and sockets can be altered using 16A multiplug adapters which one can get for Rs50 in local market. The accuracy of the meter also appears reasonable for home use. Since no other wattmeter exists in the market with battery operation at competitive price, I would call this meter as having currently the best value for money

Appropriate Energy Monitoring Device for Home
I have been using this device for last few days and experience have been nice so far. It is showing all the details that it is advertised for. One of the nice features is that the device retains measured values in-memory even when it is plugged-out. It comes with user manual that explains all functionalities well. But one thing I would like to draw attention of review readers is that the appearance of the received product is different from the one shown in the advertisement. But this does not really matter as the all the functionalities are available in the received device.
