Lisle45100 Brake Spring Tool

This tool worked great for rebooking brake springs.

Just what I needed for those pesky drum brake spring clips on my Honda CR-V II . Couldn't find it (or similar) anywhere else. Eliminates the need for a third arm. Saves me a lot of swearing and (re)tries with a pair of angled needle nosed pliers held upside down.

This is a review of the Lisle 48400 Brake Clip Tool:This is a very well-made tool and would be very useful but the tip does not fit the parking brake shoe hold-down springs on the rear brakes on our 2007 Toyota Highlander. If this is the application you are looking for, this may not be the tool to get.

The rear parking brakes on my son’s 2014 Honda CRV are held in place by pins and a spring clip. This Lisle tool makes removing and re-installing the clips a simple job. It holds the clip in place while small jaws grab the pin and rotate it. If you are working with these clips, this tool is a life saver :-)I highly recommend it.

Bought it to use for changing rear drum brakes on 2007 Tacoma. Works great and will now put it away for another 60k miles.

I bought this one for a fraction of tool truck similar tool. This one looks as good quality as some of the expensive tool truck brands.

Great tool for a difficult task. Will eventually break if you use it a lot. But for the price, it's worth it.
