Q: I'll be blunt here. Will this work on private/sensitive areas?

Do not do it with this product!- the larger bottle with applicator nozzle. It can easily cause a chemical burn within 10 minutes (stated maximum application time), which results in terrible pain to the area for at least a day. This is from experience. The women's Nair Lotion (Aloe & Lanolin) also had the same burning effect. The old? or non-applicator 8 oz. Nair Men product squeeze bottle is apparently a different product- weaker but still effective. It says "NEW Formula!" on the front, and states that the maximum application time is 15 minutes on that one. It also lists some different ingredients. Use that one on sensitive areas if you must.

Q: can i just apply it to hair without shaving

It's designed to be used on dry skin without shaving. What it does to the hair is withers it down to the skin-line. when you wipe it away, you may have some stragglers that just don't seem to be weak enough to break at the skin-line. I tried this stuff for a while, but it was more hassle than just shaving, and it doesn't really have a long-lasting effect from my own experience having followed the directions. Just so you know, you will also experience a kind of burning sensation on your skin as the hair withers. The only other things I've been looking at for long-lasting effects are laser which is long-lasting, though not permanent, and electrolysis, which is expensive, but permanently removes the hair and follicle killing the root where the hair grows so no hair can grow there again. So the question comes down to how much are you willing to shell out in the long-term versus save up for a short-term and then not have to mess with it again. It all depends on your tastes. Q: Just bought it but confused on the insturctions. It says "shower following your usual routine" what does that mean. Also "leave cream on your skin"

Put cream on the hair you want removed. Do not rub in. Just put over hair in the growth direction and after five minutes take a shower and the hair sill come off. Sometimes you need to comb or brush it. Bill

Q: does this shave unibrows

I used it for my unibrow and received a chemical burn at first. It helps greatly to use a moisturizer afterwards. After a few applications a week apart there is no chemical burn and the product works much better. After the first application I didn't see any hair removal, then after the second application I noticed a little hair removal, then after the third application I noticed even more hair removal, etc.
