At the Barber, our son couldn't stand the sound of the razor, and since we held him tightly, it was impossible to stop and blow out the hair on his neck and face, as it irritated him greatly and caused severe itching.So, we bought this product and implemented a phenomenal strategy. Here's what worked for us:Put on his favorite movie (Toy Story 2). While my husband cut his hair, I followed behind him with the hairdryer on a cool setting, blowing out the hair on his neck and face. We finished in 30 minutes. He happily enjoyed his movie!Why did it take us 30 minutes to finish?... Because he was so comfortable! and we took the extra time to give him a good style and not just a quick cut. This was truly worth it.I suggest purchasing the HAIRCUT HERO PROGRAM ($65) since it's a very complete set.No more haircuts at the barber that cost like $30 and make everyone suffer!

I’ve added two “before” pics to show how wild my son’s hair was before his cut and then his after pic! By no means was it perfect and I definitely cut it shorter on top than I had planned, but it was so effortless for me to do this haircut and so easy for my little guy. The hardest part was getting him to sit still at the end to do the final “edge” around ears, back of neck, etc. I ended up just doing that another day when he would sit better. Overall this cut took me probably less than 30 mins and that was with cleanup. I actually doubled the guard length for the top of his hair but somehow it still came out almost as short as the sides. It may have been the way I was holding the scissors when cutting so next time I will try to go a little slower with the top so I can keep it a little longer. This is a great product though and perfect for little ones with sound sensitivities or anxiety over hair salons!Also want to add, when I received the order a guard was broken so I emailed the company. They got back to me the same day and said they would mail a replacement guard along with an extra pair of scissors as a gift. Great customer service!

Great tool! Nice case and everything you need. It helped me go from a 44 to 60 minute struggle to cut hair to a nice 15 minute activity where my grandson was comfortable and felt safe.

Loved the clippers. They were very easy to use to give my 3yr old son a much needed trim. Results were fantastic overall! I did have a hard time working around the ears, but that was expected. Product is worth the price. My only con is a few of the guards had flimsy outer combs. I highly recommend this product.

I have a 3 year old son who is squirmy and doesn’t like the noise of the buzzer so going to a barber isn’t really easy. I got this to do it myself and it changed his whole attitude towards hair cuts. He sits, he’s calm, and he likes haircuts now. It comes with every attachment you could need and is super straight forward. Great price, basically pays for itself after the second cut. If you have similar struggles with your kids, I wouldn’t hesitate to get it.

The idea behind this product is great but it definitely needs a bit of improvement. I got this because my 3 yr old is a bit on the spectrum and has sensory issues and hair cuts for him are a nightmare. My older sister is a hairstylist and she cuts all of our families hair but for my younger son we struggled with full haircuts and even slight trims; he would cry, scream and shake and we felt horrible.She was the one who researched and came across this product and told me to try it myself and if he did good with it then she would proceed to try again this time using this product. I ordered this item yesterday afternoon and got it this afternoon overall pretty fast. I watched the video on how to use it over and over to familiarize myself with it as I was very nervous as I am in no way a hairstylist. One hour later after trying my best with very limited instructions on this product I managed to give my son a decent but not super great haircut;so far everyone has said it looks good considering I did it myself while trying to keep my toddler calm. Some few things to consider are that again the concept behind it is great I love that they designed a product that’s meant to help parents who’s kids struggle with haircuts at a regular salon but I do wish they would have had maybe more how to videos or more thorough instructions. While using the clipper scissors I struggled with two things and that was that the clippers would sometimes pull of my toddlers hair which made it difficult to use while working on limited time since let’s be honest toddlers cannot sit still for a long time; and two is that the hole where my thumb would go on the scissors hurted my thumb and I even had the take the hole guards off to try and make it more spacious and see if it helped but it did not. Now I don’t know if the scissors holes are maybe too small made for small hands or maybe I wasn’t holding it right but overall while my hands suffered I am not mad at how my sons haircut turned out.I do wish I could return this product as it is quite pricey but I will keep them and give them another try. Oh and also I got the scissors that are safety round scissors for trimming around the ears and even though they are round and suppose to be safe they still managed to give my son a small cut behind his ear so not happy about that.

Have these scissors changed my life? Sounds a little silly, but yes, 100%! Haircuts with my 5 y/o became progressively more difficult when he turned 3. Figuring out what works and doesn't work for us became expensive, at home cuts turned him into Lloyd Christmas's doppelganger, and seeing him stressed about a haircut stressed me. My kiddo had zero complaints while using this product for the first time. Zero! We got through an entire haircut without any tantrums AND super easy to use. Blades very easily cut thick hair with minimal noise. A little awkward to hold, but I'm sure that'll get easier with more use. We're giving less Lloyd Christmas and more Derek Zoolander. Another plus in my book is how sleek/small the case is. The guards can stay organized by size in the case and it's not bulky. Chef's kiss.
