Wonderful addition to my laundry room! I used two of these and a shelf board I got from Lowe's to create a laundry folding table next to my dryer. I can easily lift it up when I need it and then easily fold it away when I'm not using it. These brackets are so neat and I'm very proud of my new table/shelf.

If you have a need to add a shelf/table that can be folded out of the way when not in use this is perfect. These will work for any type of shelf or small table in an RV or boat or in the garage. the package is for a pair. They are relatively easy to install. If installing a shelf with these to go under an adjacent countertop allow about 1/8" of vertical spacing between the 2 surfaces when the new shelf is extended to allow easy folding of the new shelf which requires a slight upward motion to unlock the brackets. We used cutting boards which matched the wood cabinets in our RV as the shelf surface material. Hopefully they hold up as well as the brackets. You will need a vertical surface to secure them with screws or anchors from the hardware store.

Attached them to a table in my shop. They installed easily and do the job. Would not use them for serious weight but these are working out fine.

These were purchased to mount my 20 x 15 x 3 1/2" chopping block on the end of my kitchen island. The block weighs 28 lbs. The brackets are mounted on 1" thick plywood and this worked perfectly. A pair of these 12" brackets are rated for a static load of over 150 lbs. At 100 lbs they were fine. A pair of 8" brackets are rated for 70 lbs. All are rated for light service. Although there are no directions, they can be mounted either way depending on the application. My island had a 1" overhang and I wanted the block 3/8" above the top of the island so the side without the hinge was attached to the island wall. In another application I wanted a shelf under the overhang and attached the hinge side to the wall. Note: different sizes of these brackets can NOT be mixed. Just take my word for it.For relatively heavy loads these are great as light service brackets if attached to a strong enough wall; studs or solid wood. I subtracted a star due to the hinge being a bit sloppy for a light shelf and any significant side force, like bumping into the side of a shelf, could hurt or loosen these brackets. That being said, these are a good value and work well.

Very sturdy. A bit tricky to mount. We used them in the camper to add an extension shelf next to the kitchen counter. The secret to closing them is to lift slightly to release the lock. Also make sure to leave clearance at the counter for space to lift. We had to reinforce the back of the counter for the brackets as there was only a thin luan plywood side. Typical of campers to keep weight light. We used a Camco Silent Top Stove Cover (from Amazon) as the shelf. Very pleased.

Used these for a flip up counter extension in my travel trailer. I love that they allow a simple lift up and they lock in "up" position without reaching underneath. To retract you simply lift an push lightly on the hinge. Worth the price.

I built a folding table (attached to a side fence) that I could use when BBQing with these brackets. The table I built is 15" by 35" and these worked perfect. The locking mechanism is very easy and smooth, you can work them with just one hand. Very sturdy when locked, can easily hold weight without worry. There are 3 sets of holes (6 total) on each bracket so you can put 6 screws into each one. Would definitely buy again for a future project.

They worked good for mounting an outside TV in cabinet of motorhome lyas flat and allows me to get to storage above when needed
