I have used the mixer for a few days now. On first look it's a little more "plasticy" than it appears in the photos, but that just affects where it sits in the kitchen rather than performance.In terms of performance, it's okay, neither poor nor outstanding. The largest bugbear is the attachments do not reach the very base or side of the bowl. For doughs this isn't a major problem since as they come together the hook and mixer will pull the dough from the side. For cake mixes it leaves (even after plenty of time), clumps at the base and side and a little lumpy.This was purchased as a small gift for my parents to encourage more home baking and I'm not unhappy with it. If I were to purchase for myself and my baking hobby I would spend more to get a better unit.

Hopefully my grandson will like this,he is 16 and likes baking gluten free cakes for his dad,Christmas preasant

Pretty noisy on the higher speeds, whatever you do, DONT put the attachments in the dishwasher, the chrome dip melts off and renders them useless.My fault for not reading the instructions, fortunately only lost 1 attachment.Overall, great value for money
