First one was defective but second one was good.
Received the item today, it looked good but after cutting off the tag we noticed a large hole in the side. It looks like the toy was not properly closed after it was stuffed. Can’t let the dog play with it like that so I guess it will need to be returned. Very disappointed as he loved his last duck toy. Returned for a replacement and the second one was perfect, our dog loves it. I guess the lesson here is be sure you check it carefully first. So far it is a good durable toy.

This is our dog’s favorite toy!
Life would be a lonelier place for our new pup Ellē without her favorite toy. Her duck makes satisfying noise and the stitching seems to hold well. She is a Labrador Retriever has chewed through other stuffed toys but not her favorite duck.

Not the most durable but great value
Dog loves it so much we have to get a new one every few months, but the durability isn’t terrible. Dog also loves squeaker sound. Good value I’d say.

As advertised.
The sound maker didn’t stand up well to Great Dane puppy, but the seams are holding well. Dog loves the crackling noise sewn into the fabric(similar to wrinkling trash bag)

Dogs Will go Quacky for this Plush Toy!
I’ve been looking for this type of duck that honks and is not just a squeaky plush toy and lo and behold I encountered this one on Amazon. My furbaby loved her old duck but tore through it quickly to get the honker out. However, that was still her favorite toy. Enter the new plush Mallard toy that we have only had for a day and my furfbaby has gone wild for it!. What I like about this toy is that it has multiple features in it which includes the squeaker, the honker, the wings have a crinkling sound, and is super soft . You can tell just by looking at it that the product and material are quite durable and are sewed in well. My furbaby is a Lhapso Apso so I don’t know how a bigger dog will do with this toy but she is a tyrant and would have already tried to tear through it and she hasn’t. We have just had tons of fun throwing it around and her catching it and playing with it. I will post an update after several weeks with her using it. So far I’m glad I made this purchase!

Gutted within minutes
My dog had managed to extract the 'quacker' squeaker device from the side of the toy within 10 minutes of receiving the toy. Found him chewing the pieces, which there are multiple small plastic parts that compose the sound unit. Hopefully I managed to retrieve them all from his mouth, but he's been coughing oddly since. This duck toy is a piece of junk, built with no concern for potential safety. Barkbox has a rooster that my dog has played with for several months with the only damage being slobber on the fur.

Great toy with the "trifecta"!
I purchased this toy for my friend's dog for Easter (don't worry, I know how crazy that sounds). My dog, a 125lb Swiss Mountain Dog, has the same one that I found around Christmas at a local discount store. He absolutely loved it, and his bestie, an 18lb Maltipoo, was obsessed with it when he would come over. The best thing about this toy is that it has what I like to call the "Trifecta". It squeaks, honks, and crinkles. This is something I've noticed is difficult to find in a single toy. But the boys love it. It's very large and appears to be well made. The Swissy hasn't made a hole in his yet and it's one of his favorite toys. I'm hopeful that these will last a long time because they love them so much. So, go for the trifecta!!

Love the toy, wish it lasted longer!
Got this for my Goldador pup after he went bonkers over a similar (if not the same) one at the vet. Love the concept of this toy, particularly the crinkly wings and honking mechanism, but wish it was more durable! My dog (5.5 month old pup) has had it about 36 hours now. The honking mechanism in the body of the plush broke within a few hours, and my pup tore open the mallard’s beak and got to the squeaker located in its head at the 36 hour mark. My pup has been very gentle with his toys up til this point, but he’s recently hit the dog “preteen” phase in the last week and all his toys are getting put to the test!Overall, would probably not purchase again without trying some alternatives. Great concept for bird dogs, though! Hope there is a way of making this toy more durable in the future.
