Nice sharpening tool.
I have been using cheaper brands for for the last few years because my hands can't handle working a file anymore. Nice sharpener. Still having a little bit of problems on which grinding wheel to use on my chain but hopefully I will figure that out. I use the one recommended but it seems to be too large for the chain I am using. I am now 67 and I have been using a chainsaw for cutting all kinds of trees down for firewood and cleanup for a lot of years and I have sharpened a lot of chains. Next time I sharpen my change I am going to use the smaller wheel. The price is a little high for the amount I use my chainsaws now but it is so easy to use I'll live with with a smile.

Easy
Great sharpener have not had a bad sharpening on it yet. I cut between 15-20 cord of wood a year. There is some play in the arm when you pull it down. I just put to one side and sharpener everything the same way. Like the ability to put the 2nd angle on the table.

Works awesome !
1st off th3 bad , I set up the grinder correctly, installed the 3/16 wheel, and the 1st chain i tried to sharpen the wheel shattered. And yes I checked it for cracks before installation, but still shattered. Besides that the 520 sharpener is fantastic ! I noticed a considerable difference sharpening my low profile chains. Every angle is available to get them back to razor sharpeness. I'm very happy with the grinder just wish the 3/16 wheel lasted longer than 20" worth of chain.

Every adjustment is availble
I bought this for my father for Christmas as he has 4 different Stihl chainsaws he uses depending on the job, and we're constantly using files to hand sharpen chains. Rather than keep using files (can you really maintain a perfect 30 degree angle?), I thought this would add some much needed consistency to the process, and it has. We're still early in the use of this machine, but the construction of it is solid, and it has numerous adjustments for properly positioning the grinding wheel to the chain teeth. I will say that for someone new to this machine, it takes some practice and reading of the instructions carefully to make sure you get everything setup correctly -- use of this tool isn't "idiot proof." I think we'll get a lot of good use out of this. Probably a nitpick, but if I had to ding it for anything, I'd hit it for the stop screw when you pull down the grinder for the depth gauge. That screw seems a bit smaller than I'd like, and there appears to be a divot drilled into the lower arm near where that screw hits, but it's not properly aligned to actually hit it. It seems like a manufacturing miss for the divot in the wrong spot, and I'd prefer a heftier screw with a fine thread to adjust the depth of the grind by turning the stop bolt. Of course, Oregon didn't ask for my opinion on that.

Easy to use
I actually like everything about it the adjustments are easy to make and they’re very clear on the machine. It’s easy to use and saves me a lot of money. My entire family of four homes uses firewood and we have a lot of it. We just had a tornado and we had about 72 trees down. That’s enough wood for the next 10 years. Some of the trees were over 100 years old.
