How to Hear the Voice of God

There is an old adage that I'll put as laconically as possible: If you can't dazzle `em with brilliance, baffle `em with bull$%it.....The truth of the matter, from my perspective is; I have no idea which side of the equation (i.e. brilliance or Bulls*&t) this book belongs too. Yes, Dr. Shumsky certainly captured my attention, and the more attention I gave to this book the more I wanted to give. If this book is in fact "brilliance in prose" then Susan has written a manual on the art of Being Transformation (there is a subtle double entendre there - think about it......) If, on the other hand, this book is drivel, then Susan is an exceptional sales woman, whom is out to line her pockets, not help her brothers and sisters attain their divine right to God communion.This book is marvelously detailed, complete with tables and charts that satiated even my ensconced attitude toward description, analyses and dissection. I found the affirmations to be joyful and empowering and the lessons rampant with knowledge & wisdom. The pudding that one will find the proof in, I think, is the accompanying CD which is a guided meditation that purportedly will aid its listeners to the goal of God communication. I have not listened to this product yet as I want to do so alone, with no distractions, in the proper ambiance - good luck to me......Clearly written and edited, this book warrants and shall receive 5 stars from me, with the proviso that upon "sufficient study" this book and companion CD delivers what it says it can. I shall endeavor to internalize and practice it's ostensible wisdom. Again 5 stars.

This author speaks from experience. Not only has she meditated for years on both the mystical and experiential levels, she has helped literally thousands to meditate on both levels as well. As a truth seeker myself, I have always been looking for more effective forms of spiritual communication, but have always been concerned about the source I was contacting. What type of entity is answering my questions? Is it a former human, an angel, a demon, an impersonator, an alien or an advanced spiritual being? What are the entity's motives for communicating with me? Does it want to inform me, enlighten me, deceive me, or possess me? Every type of scenario is addressed in this book. Susan lays out, step by step, how to safely reach and interact with the desired type of entity. She teaches how to expose impersonators, how to neutralize negative entities, how to heal and redirect annoying entities and how to repeatedly contact the highest, positive spirits. No hype here. Very solid and tested advice.

Buyer beware. Be advised that the contents of this book can ruin your life. I speak from experience. Do not read this book or follow the meditation unless you truly want contact from God. If there are sins in your life for which you could be punished, then think again before proceeding with this book. Hell on earth. This is how I feel about my life now. I read the book and meditated to the CD nearly a year ago and my life has been destroyed as a result. The spirit (Holy?) controls every aspect of my daily life, as well as my being. Every day is a struggle, and I am now seriously contemplating ending my life. Not only has my life been damaged, but my loved ones have also been affected. All because the spirit controls my actions and words. I am a different person because I am controlled by the spirit. Realize that by repeating the mantra in the book, you give control of your self and your life to a spirit. I don't even refer to it as the Holy Spirit because it has been so terrible to me. Absolutely terrible. Life isn't worth living now. Please think about me before you feel compelled to buy this book. I regret it every day..

This book as well as Susan Shumsky's other books and materials, offer the reader a virtual treasure trove of deep, infinite knowledge they will not find in such a complete, compact manner, anywhere on the planet. As an exhaustive Metaphysical researcher, Teacher, writer, practitioner and Lecturer myself, for over 40 years on these subjects; I can assure you these concise, all encompassing books of Susan's will greatly aid the evolutionary human life stream in positive, spiritual awareness and growth, for every listener and reader who absorbs, applies and practices the magnificent, Universal knowledge they impart.May we ALL continue our evolutionary growth...toward a better humankind.

I DID NOT GIVE 5 STARS THE MATERIAL IS GOOD BUT A LITTLE HARD TO UNDERSTAND AND DO THE THINGS SUGESTED BY THE AUTHOR THAT IS FORM ME

I am forever endebted to a friend who suggested I might enjoy this book. This book is the most comprehensive and practical guide to the spirit world I have ever read. Simple language, clarity of concepts and common sense in using the information make it far above any other work on the subject I have ever seen. Amazing!

I did not read this yet. However I have read other book by her entitled Miracle Prayer. I loved it.It made me aware of how prayer can unconsciously be half heartened even though perhaps said with full heart. Like reading what one writes and then forgetting what one say myself origninally meant then goving the wrong direction as a result.

I'm reading it now, so far, it is realistic and speaks to my spirit. Hopefully, I willbe able to report results later.

Like Susan Shumsky's previous book, "Divine Revelation", this one is excellent, and includes a valuable CD containing a guided meditation to help you connect with the Holy Spirit (this being the aspect of God she has chosen),Actually I found the present book better than "Divine Revelation", since it seemed shorter and clearer. I got a bit confused with all the information in "Divine Revelation", but in this one I found it easier to get a clearer overview of the necessary information. (Though my having read the previous book will of course have assisted in my comprehension of this one, since it's the same field that's covered.)Susan's method of meditation is called "Divine Revelation" and people throughout the world have benefited from her "Breakthrough Workshops". We learn how to contact the various aspects of God, i.e. Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, Mother Mary, Krishna, Buddha, or whoever we choose. We learn how to obtain the signal whereby we can recognize the aspect with which we are in contact, how to ask for advice and receive an answer.We learn how to recognize if the one we are in contact with is a negative energy from the astral plane, and are provided with important affirmations and prayers for protection, including a pillar of light visualization, a thought-form healing, astral-entity healing affirmation, psychic tie-cut healing affirmation and façade body healing affirmation, for use when necessary. This chapter is extremely useful, in fact essential.We also learn the 10 tests of spiritual discernment, and how to test the message. Susan gives us examples of loving messages from God and negative, gloomy messages from astral beings, so we can easily hear and sense the difference.The book also contains a valuable chapter providing real-life examples of sad tales of various known and unknown persons who got into deep trouble when not taking heed of warning signals indicating that the beings with whom they were in contact were not from the light. I found this chapter edifying. But there is no need to worry: if you follow Susan's precepts, you will easily be able to discern who is from the light and who or what is not, and how instantly to disconnect from the latter.The final chapters give us examples of those who followed their divine guidance and saved themselves from life-threatening situations, together with inspiring accounts penned by many of the author's students who have successfully contacted God and transformed their lives.With the aid of the CD, I myself contacted several aspects of God, received their signals, got answers to my questions and received uplifting messages. My personal signal for contact with the Holy Spirit was a fluttering of my eyes, my signal for Mother Mary was my head rolling back and forth, while my signal for contact with Jesus was a feeling of a hand placed on the top of my head. I had experienced this latter signal previously in meditation, but not known what it meant, if anything.One of the first questions I asked was how to heal an eczema I had in a certain part of my body. I was expecting some sort of spiritual answer, but instead received a very concrete piece of advice, i.e. that I should on three successive days take a bath in my bathtub after adding an amount of sea salt to the water, and sit in it for about 10 minutes. I had never thought of this, so this was definitely an answer from Spirit. The advice worked!Unfortunately, I experienced problems with the CD, but a new CD is now being sent to me free of charge. I couldn't use the wording given by Susan to record my own meditation. It wasn't long enough for me to get deep into the meditative state.Also, it was a bit limiting that in the CD only the Holy Spirit was mentioned as one to contact and from whom one could receive a message. However, I disregarded this and stated the particular name of the aspect I wished to contact myself, and this worked fine.I didn't always get into a particularly deep meditation, perhaps because I wasn't so good at the deep breathing which Susan requires in this form of meditation. (But later, after becoming earthed/grounded -which is quite a different story - the depth of my breathing improved considerably, so that helped.)To sum up, I found this book illuminating, extremely informative, and to provide all necessary warnings, prayers and the like to protect against negative entities; the CD provides a tremendous help in getting into the state necessary in order to connect with the various aspects of God; I didn't always experience deep love or similar states like the author describes, though sometimes I did see or feel the angels and other divine beings and "saw" or "felt" my Higher Self/Soul, and am sure that I will experience more with practice.I strongly recommend that you purchase this book with accompanying CD.I would also recommend her book "Miracle Prayer", which I feel perhaps is her best!

I found this quite an interesting read. Susan Shumsky is basically describing going into the silence. Which I have heard of before from a few different sources. But the real difference is she telly you how to avoid all the pitfalls using her 10 point discernment method. which is something new to me. Though I bought the kindle edition. So there was no included CD which is dissapointing. You can't download it from Susan Shumskys website either. which means I would have to buy the book again. in print form just to get the CD? So for that reason i'm only giving 3 stars. if there was a download link in the book. It would have got 5 stars/

this book provided me with quick insight into the spiritual realm within 1 hour of reading from page1. I spent over 20 years searching, but this is the first time I am ever convinced that if you listen and trust.....you can hear the voice of god....Thanks Susan, i don't need to find a cave to retreat in, simply a comfy lounge....and am ready to communicate with GOD!
