My kid has been using it a ton since he got it in March and he loves it. The screen doesn't have it's own light but we knew that going in. He usually just sits with a headlamp/bright light over his shoulder

It was supposed to be backlit, but was not. I fixed it with my old gba screen.

Some problems started happening during the very first day of usage.It takes usually 2-3 tentatives to initiate. May it be a capacitor problem?The screen has been randomly showing a bad quality image. Sometimes the image turns to be great, and then the same problem happens again. May it be a problem with the 40 pin flat cable? A faulty contact?The direction pad (down arrow) is not working properly. It's necessary to press it very hard, otherwise it won't work.As I have bought it during my vacation trip to the US I don't think I could get a refund or replacement.

I'm pretty happy because I've got a Gameboy Advance now, however I'm pretty unhappy with the screen. When it came, the screen was misaligned and there is some dust or some little crumbs inside of it that I cannot get out without taking the entire screen off. It bothers me a lot and casts a bit of a shadow on the game when I play. The Gameboy itself also came kind of split in half. Where the thing snaps together around it just is not snapped together. I guess other than that, the system itself works just fine.
