Very nice paint set. Ordered this for my father as a Christmas gift. He loves Bob Ross. Who doesn't? His soothing voice with the paint brush tapping away on the canvas. My father enjoyed it and loved it so much. As we would paint houses and ceilings and buildings, big spaces. He never actually took a brush to a canvas. He never knew he could actually paint until this set! It was perfect for him. He's made so many beautiful pieces that we will carry with us forever.

Nice set to get the brushes and some paints. I got the stand and canvas package and it was a good price for the additions too. I use the easel more for display but I have painted with it too.

Only problem was the stand wasn’t very sturdy and when trying to paint it the canvas would move. Love the how to video, paints, and brushes were a great value! I still prefer a different canvas but these ones worked for what I was trying to paint. Also wish I would’ve ordered paint thinner before I started painting!! To clean the brushes.

Oh my gosh, this has been the best thing for my daughter during this time! It has everything she needs, the quality is excellent and her paintings are beautiful with the instructional DVD. I would totally recommend to anyone who want to learn the basics of oil paints and landscapes.

The painting set and the easel were fine, although you will have to hold whatever canvas you are using for this type of painting. My complaint is with the boards that were included. They absolutely shouldn't have been included. Bob made several comments in his show about not using the boards as they will soak up the liquid white. I remember this when I saw the boards, but thought they wouldn't send boards that wouldn't work and these must be newer and can now take this kind of painting. WRONG. It absolutely soaked up the liquid white and made painting a chore to say the least. This was my first attempt at painting ever and I didn't expect Bob Ross results, but I couldn't get the paint to do hardly anything. I have ordered double-primed, pre-stretched canvas to try again. If you order this set, order yourself the correct canvas and use these boards for some other technique. Shame on the manufacturer for including something that won't work correctly.

Product just as described as exspected. This was a Christmas gift, there was a part missing. After 2months I contacted the seller, within in 3 minutes I received a response and within a week the missing piece arrived in great condition. Would by the excellent product from the excellent seller again.

I assume there is no consistency from one kit to the next, as there have been more positive reviews than the negative ones that mirror my experience. Overall, I am very dissatisfied and would like to warn others to stay away from this product.This kit is full of cheap products sold for a premium price. The easel which came in this kit wasn't sturdy enough for the techniques used by Bob Ross, and would allow the canvas to fly off the table. The canvas boards that came with it were again, not designed for Mr. Ross's signature wet on wet method. The brushes don't behave the same way as you see on his show. The paint knife is way too flimsy. The paint thickness varied, with traditionally background colors being thin, and highlight colors being thick. (Should be reverse of that.) I continued attempting to paint thinking I was doing something wrong and used to much of the paint to pursue a refund.It was very disheartening to have failed repeatedly attempting a beginner's painting following along with a Bob Ross video using his namesake's products. I wish I could give it zero stars as it very nearly ruined my desire to start painting until I started watching more painting videos giving me the insight I now have to write this review.Buyer beware.
