I recently moved and found that my office chair cylinder has stopped working when I disassembled it. This is a great fix as I don’t have to buy a new chair. Not sure about how long it’s going to last but for now it looks solid and durable.

A bit cheaper than some but it's a gas cylinder and works as good as any. Why pay more??

Not completely universal. had a chair that needed a more tapered end on the piston aso it didn't fit. had to use on a 2nd chair.

This is the second chair lift cylinder I have purchased for this chair. They last a long time. Yes, I do need a new chair because the armrests are falling apart but the back and seat are still looking good. I bought a new office chair for my wife and it only took two weeks and she can fill the base under the bottom cushion. Proving the new office chairs are not as good as they use to be. This was why I purchased a new lift cylinder; it allowed me to keep my chair because it is still relatively in good shape. Don't be afraid to purchase a replacement part. The key is to measure correctly and find the equivalent part.

I'm returning this cylinder as it failed within the first week. A lot of trouble to go through for what was a crappy product.
