I don't have super long nails but I accidentally put a 3/4" tear in the lid when I was putting the lid onto a container. I wasn't exerting overt pressure and I feel the lid should not have torn so easily. You may want to choose a different brand. I threw away the torn one since it may have caused leaks should I have used that one.

I thought these would be just what I need but there are some serious drawbacks. First they must go on a dry container. They're a bit of a struggle to get on. If you are covering something moist and you slip, then you might get that moisture on the container. Then forget it and get the plastic wrap out! The other thing that I didn't consider is none of my containers are square. If they're not round they are rectangular, not square. So none of the lids will work on them.

I like it will fit over my different bowls. Also that they are for rectangular shapes also!

So I have a different brand of these and I like these sooooooo much more! They actually stay on your containers and are incredibly stretchy!!! I’ve been using them a few months and no complaints, would buy again!

These lids will only work if the rim of your container is without a trace of moisture or oil. Even if the rim started out oil- and moisture-free, as you try to stretch the lid over the food, you may accidentally pick up a little food or liquid. Then you have to wash off the lid and wait until it is perfectly dry.

These can be a bit tricky to get onto containers but once on they hold really well, until you remove them. Once you have removed them and served from a cold damp container they are difficult to put back on and keep on.If you wipe down the lid and the outside of the container you can get them to stick again, but, only if you make sure both the lid and container are completely dry.I do like these and once they make a seal the do vacuum nicely to help keep food fresh.The bag that they arrive in is perfect for storage and well made.

Difficult to stretch across containers. So you can’t use containers too much larger than the lids. Very easy to clean and store. Haven’t used in microwave or freezer. I probably won’t. Just the fridge.

Having both round and square covers is perfect for putting leftovers away without the need for a bunch of leftover containers that inevitably have vanishing lids, or single-use plastic wraps. Easy to clean, I haven't had any issues with staining or scent retention at all. Best washed by hand, but can go on the top rack of a dishwasher.

The lids don’t stretch and have issues covering glass and ceramic containers. I got these as replacement reusable lids for my Pyrex containers and they don’t do the job of sticking to the sides and keep on pulling off. I end up putting bigger ones for the size which does not give it a snug silicone fit.

the covers arrived a few days ago. When I opened the package, there was no cloth storage bag included. The covers themselves are clear, not opaque as shown in the photos and there are no logos on them as shown in the photos. I haven't used them yet, so will probably do another review at that time.

One of the set had a big tear in it. The product didn't really stretch. Not very good.

These were very stuck together when they arrived. Managed to get apart eventually. Unfortunately if you have to stretch them they don’t stay on. About 2 out of every 10 dishes we have actually work. Flawed design. We don’t use them any more :(They are easy enough to clean. Wish they had some sort of better sticking or elastic or something to stop them sliding off.

Very, very dissapointing, I'm actually pretty peeved. Firstly I didn't receive the True Nature Logo Eco Storage Bag that's suppose to come with the silicone shields as it's part of the purchase. The silicone shields I received don't even have the True Nature Logo on them like they are supposed to, they have a smiley face on them instead, basically a completely different brand of the product that I actually purchased/ paid for?? I received a different brand altogether, the silicone shields I received are a cheap 💩 no name, generic brand that are made in China. They don't fit any of my bowls, plates and/or cookware properly and they have imperfections and marks all over them and they appear as though they have been stretched and haven't snapped back to their original shape the way that they are supposed to. They are of inferior quality, cheap and nasty. They don't even appear to be made of silicone??? It's False Advertising. DO NOT waste your money! I would boycott the third party seller and avoid them like the plague, they are dodgy asf and an utter disgrace! They must think that the customers are really stupid and wouldn't even notice that they have been duped and supplied with cheap 💩 no name, generic brand inferior silicone shields instead of the True Nature silicone shields that they actually purchased???
