I bought this for my son for his 10th birthday. I ordered the 20" chain. He was very happy to receive this medal! The chain is long enough so that he can just pop it over his head without messing with the clasp. The "jump ring" is solidly attached to the medal, so I have no fears of it becoming loose and falling off of the chain. Good, sturdy quality. Very manly looking. Recommend!

My skin is very sensitive. I never break out wearing stainless steel jewelry. I assumed that both the medal and necklace were stainless, but it appears the medal itself is not. I have a St. Benedict medal-sized rash on my chest.

Very nice St. Benedict medal. I needed one to replace the medal I received when I made my novice Oblate promise. As with more than a few of my blessed sacramentals, it just disappeared. I suppose that's an indication of how effective they are if they somehow go "missing". I saw this one and since it was stainless steel and the right price, and included a steel chain, I ordered it. I did not know that it was large, a bit bigger than a quarter which you can see in the picture. When I took it out of the box and jewelry bag it comes in, I was moved to tears by how shiny and beautiful it is - a true inspiration of Catholic Benedictine faith. The detail is also outstanding. Unlike smaller, less well made versions, everything is clear, including the raven on the reverse side that often looks like a blob on other medals. All of the inscriptions are 100% accurate, and extremely clear. The chain that comes with it is a bit thinner than my own stainless chain, but still sturdy enough. Overall I'm very impressed. Once I have it blessed by our Abbot and turned into a third degree relic by touching to our St. Benedict relic, then it will stay on my person and never be taken off of me. Do not be put off by the "Ghost Hunter" rhetoric on the item description - this is a true blue Catholic medal. If you plan on wearing this, do yourself a spiritual favor and learn the Latin apirations that the initials on the medal represent. I have found them to be a very effective deterent against malevolence and distractions in people and places, and also during readings, meditation, and prayer. "Crux Sacra Sit Mihi Lux - Non Draco Sit Mihi Dux", and "Vade Retro Satana, Nunquam Suade Mihi Vana. Sunt Mala Quae Libas. Ipse Venana Bibas". Pray them always, and offer your intentions to St. Benedict, and to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Worth every dime. I got my blessed by a priest. Before I got it blessed in heated up with one employee. That employee ran out my room came back later in a better mood. It heats up around certain people and they leave my space, so I know this things works. I keep in hidden and next to my chest. I wear it daily. I will keep this always.Item is well constructed and not to flashy. It is sturdy and holds up to pulling. It doesn’t irritate my skin and I am allergic to metals.

I work outside and my previous St Benedict medal had become very corroded and chipped. This stainless steel version has held up and not shown a single sign of discolouration or corrosion. Highly recommend if you need something that can handle the elements and sweat!

I bought two, one for a family member. And the other for myself. Great size of the pendent with really nice details. I really like is two face pendent. Would recommend this St Benedict Necklace Stainless Steel with pendent to anyone.
