I have had a leaky shed felt roof where the overlaps and clout nails where I tried roofing mastic it slowed it down but didn’t stop it.Rest of the felt is in very good condition.So on reading the reviews I purchased a litre tin of polar feltseal clear.It was easy to put on with a brush and did a generous fist coat I left it 2 to 3 days as suggested and applied a second coat to finish the tin.Even though we have not had any heavy rain to test it we had a couple of showers after the first coat and everything was dry and the timber roof inside was drying out and is now completely dry so as they say it does what it says on the tin. But only time will tell!!!

Its a great product. It does what its supposed to - but be sure to apply it thickly for it to be weatherproof. And the implication of that is be sure to buy enough! I didn't and had to order more for my job. But it certainly seals roofing felt extremely well.

My shed roof was starting to let in water in various places, the shed is difficult to get to to try & re-felt it as it’s wedged between the garage & fence (not our choice of location)We purchased this hoping it would do the trick. Armed with a step ladder & an extendable roller, my husband covered the whole roof with the sealant. It is a sticky, gooey product & does smell like a strong glue, but that fades pretty quick. Coverage was good & there was no change to the overall appearance of the roof (not coloured)Anyway, with the endless amount of rain plus storms we have had over the last several weeks I am delighted to report the shed is water tight again. We think this is a good quality product & we will definitely re-purchase if needed.

Excellent product. The felt had come away from my shed, and I thought I'd give this a try before messing about stripping the old felt etc.I didnt expect the paint to be so thick, but actually that made for a better seal because I painted over the area that was missing the felt (around 20cm square) and then I applied it thicker where the felt had ended/torn... and then along the entire seem where the felt overlaps just in case, and to be sure no rain could enter there either. The instructions say you can use a roller... which I did to save me having to climb onto the shed (small ladder) but it was actually quite difficult to apply the paint to the roller due to the thickness (yes I gave it a decent stir) so I'd suggest using a good paint brush. I painted the roof around a week ago, just before the storms, so I checked the inside today and the floor has dried up. Top product, and I'd say 1 litre would cover a 6×4ft roof easily with some to spare.

Unfortunately it did not solve the problem

Delivery was ok ,I have had three deliveries of this feltseal ,first delivery of 1ltr was light coulour grey and had a paw symbol on the tin the second and third deliveries had no paw symbol and was a darker gray and thinner to apply won’t order again in case this happens again, if I used the last tins they delivered my shed roof would be a different colour grey and would look terrible. This is an alternative to re felting yours shed roof. Basically paint it over the nail heads on the felt and Bobs- your -Uncle job done recommended this product.
