Bang for the Buck!!!
Because of the Stay at Home situation, family was coming from New York City to my rural area in order to escape COVID virus exposure. We kept thinking of things we could do since we couldn't go anywhere. At some point I decided to look into a projector so we could watch movies outdoors in the summer nights. I was an absolute novice as to what I was looking for in the way of a projector. I was teased at first because I had seen numerous projectors under $100 so that more than fit my budget without a doubt. Being the skeptic that I am, I stepped back and thought that it sounds too good to be true. I decided I need to become familiar with projector specs and scoured the internet further. I then came across some name brand projectors, like Epson, which were priced much higher in the $700 - $1,000 range - NOT in my budget. I did however look at the specs to see what it provided that cheaper projectors didn't have. I watched various YouTube videos to get more familiar and reached a point where I knew what to be careful about in the descriptions of less expensive ones. This made me realize that there are various deceiving claims to be aware of. Being confused with sooooo many projectors having brand names that were completely unknown to me, I was thinking maybe I should play it safe and buy from a local store so I could return it if I was not satisfied. I noticed that they favored just one brand with decent reviews and was priced around $300. However, before pulling the trigger, I searched the internet some more and focused on reviews. Lo & behold I came across the Yaber 31 projector which was in my price range, had great specs and the reviews were very favorable and so helpful. It was then that I felt very good about making a blind purchase of a brand I was not familiar with. I pulled the trigger to make the purchase. I was very pleased with the prompt shipping of my order. The package arrived earlier than the estimated arrival date. It came on a Friday together with the 100" folding screen I ordered from another merchant on Amazon. A few of us unboxed it that evening in eagerness to do our first outdoor movie night. We found a tree branch - hung the screen and began making adjustments. I had an Amazon Fire Stick I also ordered, so we plugged it in and it was pretty much an easy setup for our tech savviness level. We had a movie up and running within a half hour. As we fine tuned the projector to expand the full length of the screen, I became ecstatic how awesome the clarity and HD quality was being projected. Everyone was amazed and could not believe how nice our movie looked on a screen in the dark night of our yard. The projector itself has a very good sound, but we ran a Bose speaker via bluetooth then corded which gave us a better sound for everyone to hear. We had a successful showing with a group of 21 people and EVERYONE gave two thumbs up when the movie ended. Since that night, everyone has looked forward to our Friday movie night. Our crowd spread to neighbors coming over as well and said they've never seen anyone having a simple projector to view outdoor movies. They too commented positively on the quality and asked me where I purchased it. One night during the week, we projected YouTube video on an interior wall just before it was dark and actually had a viewable image. In the evening the picture became deeper in rich color and was just as amazing as the one on the screen. This Yaber 31 projector has been truly my best purchase of the year. Stop looking any further, add to your Cart and Checkout immediately before these might run out of stock and you'll miss the joy I'm having with it. Happy watching!

Excellent budget projector
Honestly, I was not expecting much when I ordered this for $229. I was originally expected to receive this on the 8th of July, but somehow they shipped it out pretty much immediately and I received this yesterday.Setup is extremely easy. Plug and play and everything is intuitive. No bells and whistles. Just plug in the wires, point at a wall (I am lucky in that I have a plain white wall in my bedroom so I didn't need a screen). The picture quality genuinely surprised me in a good way. I was half expecting some sort of flaw, but for the price I got much more than I expected in terms of picture quality. This projector really is not meant to be used with ambient lighting which I didn't plan on doing anyways, so it suits my needs. I have black out curtains in my bedroom and I don't really like a lot of light, so this works for me.It's definitely not the brightest projector in the world, but in complete darkness the contrast is fantastic. The color reproduction is great and the image is sharp where it matters. There are some out of focus areas at the corners, but when watching a movie that does not matter.I set it up to about 90" without a screen and the image is still very sharp. It's definitely 1080p (in case anyone thinks that it might not be). I played 1080p video and 720p video of the same content, and there is a visible difference. If you're a projector veteran, this might seem like it has a lot less features. But for my use it's more than enough. All I need it for is to watch blockbusters. I won't be using it for gaming. I tested it for gaming, and it's alright. If you're a PS3 era gamer (PS4 pro won't work on this as well because PS4 pro offers 60fps gaming, while this projector will only refresh at 24-30Hz as it's built for movies), I think this should be ok for you. I'm a PC gamer and this was definitely not up to the mark. I have a 21:9 34" 144Hz screen for gaming, so I don't need this. You do need a stand. I have an adjustable laptop stand (with rise and tilt ability) which I am using and I would recommend getting something similar otherwise you won't have the best experience. You also want to get a proper lens cleaning kit and clean the lens before first use because mine came with a lot of dust on the lens. It's not a big deal, but in case you have a dirty lens, you might end up with a blurry image and it won't even be the fault of the projector itself.Overall:Picture Quality: 5 out 5 (based on budget pricing)Contrast Ratio: 3 out 5 (is not very effective during daylight or with any light really)Color Reproduction: 5 out of 5Features: 3 out of 5Ease of Use: 5 out of 5Recommended if you can pick it up for 230 again (seems like the 50 dollar off coupon wasn't being offered at the time of submitting this review). It might not be a bad investment at 280 even if you're looking for something that doesn't break the bank, but still gives a decent picture quality.

Great projector for the price, with minor caveats.
After a spate of bad purchases from offerup and market place, I waited over a year to leave an honest review on this projector. TL;DR at the price point, its really great for outdoor movie nights with family and friends. Picture is clear and easily focused. The screen adjustment settings and menus are intuitive and work well to tweak the image so it fits your screen. You're not getting phenomenal lumens, but pretty good. It also casts a large screen. Ours is 9X12 and we have to scale the screen down by 40%. We've used it close to 12 times and no complaints as far as its function. However- utilizing the projectors media player was a hard fail. We put a movie on a thumb drive and it would start over at the beginning if we tried to pause and didn't want to fast-forward. Streaming directly from the device was also a fail using the built-in Android cast feature. It 100% doesn't work, and nothing is worse than waiting for someone to troubleshoot tech when you already have to start an out door movie late in the summer evenings. Our fool proof methods were 1) connecting to a small laptop (surface) to play the movie and casting to the projector as a second screen, or 2) use an Amazon Firestick to stream it. Requiring an internet connection. It didn't like connecting to our Bluetooth speakers either, so those would be connected to the laptop or Firestick as well. It does have decent sound straight out of the projector but nothing beats stero speakers for a great movie night. Again, at the price point hard to complain about those things. All considered, I would recommend.
