Great little case for traveling painting kit
This box is very cool. I am using it for a travel watercolor painting box. Everything I need stays contained in the box, and fitting the brush washing bottles in the foam decreases the chance for water spilling. I like the foam plucking idea. Whoever came up with that idea is a genius. You can shape the openings exactly to the things you want to have in the case. I would like the foam to be a better quality. More dense. The plucking out the foam was easy, and it works well. The last piece of foam that you use to measure and cut open to top the other foam off to make it look more neat: this I was not successful at. The foam is flimsy and did not cut well. And the holes in the foam should be smaller and denser so that when you trace out the shapes to cut them, it's difficult to do. I couldn't draw on it or cut it with precision. So it looked too sloppy to use. I will buy another piece of foam from a hardware store and try again. I haven't tested this for strength or durability, nor for it being watertight. Down the road, after some use, I will update. I like the color blue, and I'm thinking that in the future, when I need cases for travel, I will look at their line of products. Especially for things that need protection. What I am using this for is more for convenience and it looks really cool, and for a very low price. I can paint in the car with less risk of staining the car with water or paint, as everything is nice and tidy and secure. I will post pictures to show what I mean.

Looks good and tough as a rock
I have chosen to give the Pelican 1120 case a 5 star rating due to a number of features. 1- The case is incredibly sturdy. I don't worry about things falling on it and damaging my equipment. I often worry about damaging my lights or my camera in their soft bags (or semi soft or whatever you want to call a normal camera bag). With this case I can literally throw it in the back of my car and go on about my business. 2- The foam was pretty simple to adjust for my needs. While not exactly "picking" as described, its easy enough to cut out to fit your object. It also feels like it should offer a good amount of shock protection for my equipment. 3- It fits what I wanted to put inside it perfectly. There is no extra room and I am able to fit everything I wanted to inside. I'm using this to store and transport a Tascam DR-40 recorder, along with a windscreen, cords and extra batteries. I also discovered that I can fit the manual behind the top padding (I had to cut maybe 1/4 inch off the top and bottom of the booklet) so it can come along too. As a result of using this case I plan to purchase more Pelican cases for other gear and possibly to use as luggage for my travelling with the military. I recommend these cases if you have delicate things or want peace of mind for your possessions.

Great case for whatever you have.
I bought one of these to carry and protect a ham radio (Elecraft KX2). If you are looking for a case for the KX2, this one is absolutely perfect in size. There is not much room for anything else in there, but the KX2 is a great fit an well protected. I dont think I can come up with paragraphs and paragraphs on this. It is an awesome, tough box as you would expect from Pelican. I have knocked it around plenty and the radio inside has been completely safe and dry. What more can you ask for? I bought this case with my own hard-earned money at full price. I did not receive any compensation or even encouragement to leave a review.

Perfect for many uses--besides just cameras!
I'm glad they offer so many sizes. This case is just large enough to hold a Nikon SB-700 flash unit. But that is not what I had in mind. I had been given the assignment/opportunity to document the construction of the LDS Church's Phoenix Arizona Temple. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity. So, I wanted a secure place to keep the memory cards and USB drives together, all in one portable container for quick reference and easy access. I was glad to know they were safe and protected in any environment while the project was being completed, and waiting for the historical documentations to be assembled. I used this small size case to securely hold 20-25 SDHC cards (in plastic cases), separated by making slots in the foam inserts to hold them in place. The case was small enough to then fit inside my fire safe for ultimate security. The bright orange color also helped to locate the case among my other camera bags and cases. Great quality. Lives up to reputation.

Solid case for transporting your valuable devices
I bought two of these cases and have been totally pleased with them. I use one to hold a GPS watch and USB cable. There is space to hold two of each, so the case is very convenient if I'm traveling for outdoor adventure and want to keep an extra watch safe. I use the other case to store a Contour ROAM2 along with cables, cards, and other accessories. I've not subjected them to abuse, but my experience with other Pelican products has been that they are solid cases and can handle whatever you might (reasonably) throw at them. For the price of these cases, they offer a tremendous amount of protection for the valuable devices they're carrying. I plan to buy more of these (or similar) cases as I have the need.

Great protector
Is great protection for delicate devices or electronics. I miscalculated the length and never used for the intended purpose, but I have acquired new small devices that make it worth. Closes tight and weight a bit, but the padding makes the difference a the move.

The most durable case made today
If you need the most durable, waterproof case that will protect whatever you put in it like it was in a bank vault, this is the case for you. The interior foam is diced, so you can customize it to fit whatever you need. There is a one way purge valve so it will equalize the pressure in the case if you fly or go up in the mountains. It has a place to lock it with a padlock, so you can lock it. I bought it to keep emergency equipment in, so the bright orange case stands out. You can't go wrong with Pelican cases.

I love the Pelican cases, and I do have a few. But they are expensive……and I keep paying the extra as they are very good
