High quality lotion. Good protection especially in urban smog and haze
I'v been using Lab Series since they came out many years ago. This lotion is great, very smooth, high quality, leaves my face feeling very fresh. My wife says she is jealous, it is better than her lotions which she pays much much more for.I use this in combination with the Lab Series shower gel and the Lab Series skin cleanser and I have had many compliments over the years. I used the skin cleanser and this lotion before a nice evening dinner once, and a lady next to me told me I have a GREAT complexion, "better than your wife's" :p I hear that every so often now but NEVER before I started Lab Series. Not even once. So it is the real deal. It works.I've tried to put a dab on my teen daughter but she runs away howling with disgust that it is for men :)

5+ year review
I've been using this stuff for at least 5 years I'm sure it's even been longer than that. This stuff is great. The SPF is just right. A product does not need to be SPF 1000. This is sufficient for all day use. The smell is very mild. After years of using it I've come to enjoy the smell. It's not bad, if anything it smells close to a sunblock but not too strong. The water out here in Southern CA is terrible. I apply this right after I shower. Also, a tube this size will last you a very long time. Cost breaks down to a little over 10 dollars a year. I won't use anything else.

Works well when using the right amount.
I have sensitive skin and I was looking for a good moisturizer to use with the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control Kit. The one Clean & Clear provided was constantly drying my face, especially around my cheeks. So i started looking for a replacement, when I noticed LAB's Moisturizer. I was hesitant to buy it at first (I was planing on spending $25 at most), but I thought I'd try it out anyways.I applied this in the mornings after I showered once a day. After a few days, I started seeing some noticeable improvement. Less flaky, dry skin and more healthy-looking skin. After a week, it started feeling smooth again! Not like a baby, but close enough. One negative side to this product: As my title states, you have to make sure you use the right amount, else it will do absolutely nothing beneficial other than annoy you knowing you spent upwards of $40 on this "Defense Lotion". Speaking of which, the SPF15 does work well, but it is NOT a replacement for suntan lotion. This is my second bottle in 4 months. As long as you use it sparingly, and use the right amount for your skin, you will get consistent satisfied results.

awesome stuff, totally awesome
i have been using this stuff for years, and now that i just turned 48, i really notice my friends' skin more and can tell this is working great. i have nice, hydrated skin that does not look dry or wrinkly. i also get compliments, or more comments, i guess, on how nice my skin is and how do i get it that way (only from women, of course!). gotta love it. btw, i also use the LAB undereye stuff for the dark circles and bags. it works.

Really bad smelling considering price
I have been using the same moisturizer for a while now, which I do really like, but wanted to see what else was on the market so I decided to give this a try. I completely agree with a previous reviewer who said this product has an odd odor, which he described as dairy-like, only I will say that I find this smell to be more than a little unpleasant. Perhaps the tube I received was uniquely bad, but to me the scent of this lotion reminds me of expired, sour milk and the only reason I will use the rest of this supply is because of the price of the product. This moisturizer/sunblock seems to do OK with the daily protection I wanted for short outdoor exposures, but to me it makes my skin feel exceptionally greasy by the end of the day, as if there's a thin layer of lightly viscous oil on my forehead, and I find myself wiping down my entire face with a damp paper towel by early afternoon just to avoid feeling so oily. Immediately after applying it does leave a noticeable sheen on your face, so if you are going to take pictures and do not want the appearance of a shiny face you might want to avoid this product.I gave this product a mediocre 3 stars because it did manage to leave my skin soft and smooth after several days of use, but the horrid smell/oily residue-to-price ratio will guarantee that I will not purchase again. I will go back to my Kiehl's Facial Fuel SPF 15 moisturizer, which costs about the same but has a much more pleasant smell (reminds me of the ocean) and does not leave an oily feel.

Worth the price
Love this product. It is not greasy or smelly. 3 minutes after you put it on, you forget about it. I apply every day for SPF protection and for dry skin during the winter months. Started using it via a free sample. I was hesitant to stick with it due to the price but it is worth it. It lasts a long time.I recommend purchasing via Amazon fulfillment. The first time I didn't and my tube arrived 1/4 empty. I know it's legit if Amazon ships it.

Expensive Product
I have been using this product for the last two years. It was great in terms of quality. When I first purchased this product it was around $30. Then it was $50 for 3.4 oz. Now I see that the product is $130. Good luck with that price. I just don't think its worth it to purchase a face lotion with that price specially when I can find a quite similar quality product within $60.

Perfect
Light, non greasy, protects. I've tried several lotions with sunblock and this one works the best for me. It's lightweight, non-greasy, and protects my face. This stuff is kind of expensive though so you have to apply it efficiently. I'm too lazy most of the time but the directions say you're supposed to take a pea-sized drop and take your finger and blot it across your face before spreading. Whenever I do this it seems like I do get more coverage from less lotion.
