Q: Has this been tried on naturally dark brown hair?

I am naturally medium-dark brown hair and I applied this as an all over to give a lighter but multi tone look and it came out beautiful. Lighterby the roots and copper/blonde tones towards the back and ends

I find that the color you are using covers my grey perfectly and isn't too red. I have used the same color since I was in my 20's (I am 60) and have never been disappointed. Try coloring the roots first, then about 10 minutes before the time is up, I leave in the full 45 minutes, add the remainder of the color to all of your hair. Your white or silver hair is going to come out a bit lighter no matter what color you use since the hair is lighter to start with. I hope this helps.

Hi there! You can mix two shades, as long as they are in the same product line! For the best results, when mixing two shades, we recommend that the two colors are no more than two shades apart (8R and 8SC are within the same shade range). When mixing tube hair colors, you should be sure to measure carefully and blend the two tube colors together well. Once they are totally blended, add an equal amount of the activator/developer. Be sure to perform a strand and patch test first. And here's a tip: Whatever is not used, recap tightly, and do not mix. The unmixed portion can be saved up to 6 weeks.
