How to Use Apply nail polish on your nails and wait until completely dry. We recommend using fast dry top coat over nail polish or bare nails to create a flat surface which helps the product stick better. Make sure nail is dry and free of oily residues before applying product. Lightly push tape/stencils to the nail using a finger, especially paying attention to the areas near skin, cuticles, and the tips of long nails. You can always cut nail tape to size if they are too long and cut stencils to help them form better to the tip, sides and curvature of the nail. Try peeling stencils from different directions if you have trouble with smaller pieces not remaining on the backing paper. Find your direction and peel fast, holding stencil close the backing sheet. When small pieces remain within a stencil, flip and stick/peel the stencil to the back of the paper to remove all stuck pieces. Apply fresh or thinned, not thick or gloopy, nail polish across the tape/stencil. Shimmer and metallic nail polishes work better than cremes. We recommend applying nail polish with a sponge lightly pushing it to your nail, similar to ombre design, this prevents any polish bleeding under the stencil giving cleaner lines. Remove extra nail polish from your skin and cuticles by using a flat brush dipped in acetone or nail polish remover. Remove tape/stencils immediately after applying nail polish using your fingers, tweezers or nippers while the polish is still wet. For better results pull the tape following its edges and stencils following the pattern. Wait until your design has completely dried before applying top coat. Use fresh or thinned top coat, hold your brush parallel to your nail and try not to touch a nail with the brush, only the top coat drop should touch the nail to prevent smearing.

These are A LOT of work!
These stencils are a great idea, but it takes A LOT of time (and practice) to make them work. The vinyl itself is reasonably strong and can tolerate being repositioned a few times, but no matter what I did, I couldn't get really sharp, crisp edges. I finally resorted to using thicker stamping polish which helped, but my spooky blue tree (which took 2 stencils to get right) is still a little muddled. And that spiderweb is way more abstract than what I wanted. I found the vinyls wouldn't lay flat on the curved sample nails I practiced with, but they were easier to work with on real nails. Most of the stencils were easy to lift with tweezers, but all the little cut outs on the spider web were a pain to remove, and there's no logical bottom to the cemetery headstone stencil. I do like that most of the stencils leave a sticker behind which can be used on its own. In the pix the hanging spider is the stencil, the spider in the web is the cutout sticker...the sticker is much sharper than the stencil. Each stencil comes in 1-3 sizes, but don't be surprised when you realize how much you paid for a single sheet of stickers. I love the end result of my 5-nail graveyard scenes (combined with a witch and smaller tree from stamp plates), but wow did this take some time! So glad I practiced first!

Too expensive to be this much trouble
I loved the designs and was really excited for spooky nails, but the execution is really disappointing. The negatives on some designs (spiderweb, I'm looking at you) are very difficult to get out of the decals when pulling them off the backer paper, almost like they haven't been fully cut, so they get distorted and it generally makes them a pain to use. The vinyl is too stretchy, so it has to be thick to hold its shape. This means you have to apply thick coats of polish or dab in the spaces of the decal, which results in running under the decal or big gobs of polish on your nails. It doesn't work.I read a lot of reviews and paid attention to tips where people said if they were too sticky, stick them to the back of your hand a few times, especially if you don't have enough vinyls to use a fresh one to do each finger. This is supposed to help prevent the decal pulling up your bottom color or tearing/distorting if you're trying to reuse it (especially for those decals where you have less than 10 and want a matching set). That didn't remove enough adhesive for them not to tear up the first coat of polish on some nails which was about 24 hours old and on those same nails still leak under the decal. I even tried sticking it to my nose first; no color leakage but it still ripped off my first color. I checked to make sure it wasn't just my technique by using the Mudder decals on other fingers with barely dry, thick polish on the base; no pullup, crisper lines even on similar intricate designs (including metallic glitter polish!) and those decals were more reusable and much cheaper. I didn't have to excessively handle those ones to do that, either.

Maybe unskilled but doesn't look like the picture
I may just be bad at this, but I do nail art quite a bit ( like once or twice a week), and these pumpkins weren't turning out like the picture at all. They were very thin lines that bled under the sticker easily even with a protective coat over the sticker. I would've been better off grabbing a paint brush and winging it. If you use stencils and have some secret recipe for it, I'm sure it'd be fine, but not for me.

Delicate
Very cute but delicate be careful when you pull them off. I used them for Halloween but you could also use them as little kids handprints in different colors

They ok
I liked the design but the problem was that they kept lifting even after laying them down and had to do one at a time and even had my brush out to quickly brush on and even then the drips would lift

Amazing! I love these and have purchased many other styles that I love as well. Works great and have not had any problems with them at all. The packaging that they come in are beautiful, plus are a great way to store them when not in use.
