Seems well built, works great on my old, small trailer
This seems like a well built lock. It feels very sturdy, and it works smoothly. I got it for the coupler on my little trailer, and I think it will work great. It seems one of the complaints about this lock are the same for almost all of these kinds of locks: they aren't that hard to circumvent for a determined thief. In my case, the trailer isn't worth much, and I'm not very concerned about somebody trying to steal it. Having it locked is a deterrent to somebody just grabbing it, and that's enough for me. If you have an expensive trailer, you may want to research better options than a $10 lock. The other complaint seems to be that it doesn't fit larger (newer?) couplers. I suppose you just have to know what you have and what the lock is made for. It works for me on my little trailer.

Master's a good brand, but doesn't fit
I've always considered Master to be a good brand of lock. I have a Gorilla Guard coupler lock, and wanted another for a second trailer, so when I saw this made by Master I thought Yeah! Wish I would have paid attention to the style. The Gorilla has one open end, so you slide the lock post into the coupler, then swing the body over and click it locked. This Master lock is closed on both ends, so you have to slide the lock notch over the top of the coupler, then push the lock post into the locked position. Only problem is, this notch is too narrow for either of my trailer couplers. It won't fit on the coupler. So, make sure you measure your coupler lock width is you plan to use this.

Hey, it's a Master Lock, and does its job.
The very act of purchasing a lock means you want to protect that item you are locking; don't scrimp and save a few dollars and buy an off-name brand, buy this Master Lock.Lost my keys to my other hitch lock and had to cut it off with bolt cutters; this Master Lock is to replace it. I have trusted Master Lock brand for 50 years, which influenced my decision to purchase this item. Solid, seemingly good quality, I'm sure it will work fine for years.

I was disappointed when it didn't pop right open.
Like the title says. It was a letdown when a little percussive love tap didn't make this lock pop open like in the videos. Worse, even jamming a metal stick into it, fairly hard, had no effect either. No joy on my attempts to bypass the mechanism. I have yet to even successfully pick it, and apparently, there is at least one security pin in it. So, I got my money's worth out of this lock so far. I was kind of hoping for something that looks solid, but crumbles under pressure. This lock is actually pretty decent. Maybe I'm not hitting it hard enough? Time will tell. Maybe the earlier versions of this lock had flaws, but the current lock seems a little past me. I hope to get unreasonably good at picking it someday.
