Mantis Diamond 3 in 1 Multi Tester & BLEU Gemstone Referential Meter Set

I purchased the product in May of 2020, by August of 2020 the probe tip was worn out, as you can see on the picture. I contacted the support, send them the pictures, but after two emails back and forth there was no response.Keep in mind, the probe tip is made of material that is softer than most of the raw gem stones so I'm not surprised that it wore out, but that it happened within 3 month is disappointing. It is best to get something with a replaceable tip. Unless you are going to test something that is perfectly polished so there is less of a chance for the tip to get scraped. Just remember diamond hardness is 10 vs copper 3.5, even quarts hardness is 7 vs 3.5 for a copper, so the tip is going to lose every time you are going to move it across a surface, even if it is just a slight move. And unless you are a surgeon your hand is going to shake a little when holding the device against the surface of a stone.

This was a horrible machine. Was not consistent in the readings. I had an Emerald piece, that I also tested on the Presidium and it tested fine. This unit would say Emerald and then the next time the Emerald would not even show as a possibility. And to add insult, I returned within the 30 days and the company refused to return all my funds stating all items were not returned. I didn't return the plastic wrappings. Also had the nerve to say there were fingerprints so they could not return all my funds. Stay away from this 3rd Party Company. They are crooks!
