Simple installation. RV specific product.
Great display to let you know exactly what is happening. Simple to install. The only negative is the adhesive option. Don’t bother, they do not adhere well. Kept falling off the mounting area. Finally used the screws included. Much safer and helps keep it in place when going down the road.

Replace every 5 years!
Read in the paper that a couple just perished a few weeks ago at Talledaga (sp?) Raceway campground, in their RV from CO poisoning. So I looked at the units in our RV. OMG - they clearly state "Replace in 60 months -- but who reads directions???? Ours were lots older. So this is the exact replacement for the old unit. I guess it works -- it tests OK and I have never been gassed. Also replaced the LP detector at the same time. Good prces via Amazon, and who can argue with 2 day delivery?

Not the same as in the picture
I wanted one exactly like my old one to speed installation. But the one delivered has longer distance between mounting holes, and an extension that required me to saw a larger hole in the wall to accommodate it.

This is not a surface mount as it says. However I removed the plate and fabricated a plate to make it fit the location in my Class B.

Exact replacement
I bought this as an exact replacement for a unit in my RV. The original unit had reached its designed expiration date. I'm thankful that we've had no incident to actually test this alarm! I'm trusting in the manufacture to produce a product that works when needed. I have no reason to believe that it won't and its much easier to replace than modifying for a substitute.

This is not a "Flush Mount" detector, as was advertised.
This detector is not "Flush Mount", as described. It will not work in my situation. Flush Mount would imply that the back of the detector is flat, and can therefore be mounted "flush" with the ceiling. Not so with this item. There were no photos of the back of the item. Had there been I would not have ordered and would have looked for an alternative. This will be returned, unopened.

Easy to install
Bought this Carbon Monoxide detector to replace an old one in our RV. The old one had been disconnected. This was easy to hook up and fit the hole perfectly. Testing it out was easy and we are now protected once again.
