The media could not be loaded.  My young dogs adore this kibble! It is the only one they will happily eat - Avoderm Puppy Chicken Meal & Brown Rice Formula. So many others they just pick at.The kibbles are the perfect size and shape for very small dogs. For reference, my dogs are 4 and 6 lbs, and my pics show the kibble next to a dime, so you can see the size. They are the shape of marshmallows, only smaller.This food works amazing for clearing up skin allergies! No one paid me to say this, or gave me anything free. This food genuinely helped my puppy overcome his skin allergies. He used to need Claritin or Zyrtec every day in order to not itch. After a week on Avoderm Puppy I noticed he wasn't itching as much. And by the 2nd week on this food I stopped giving him his allergy meds altogether. And to this day he has no more itching.Do not let the fact that it contains avocado scare you away from it! While is does contain avocado fruit, it does not contain persin. It is made especially for dogs. The avocado that it does contain is full of superfood antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acid, and rich oil that makes their skin smooth, and their coats shine.It also aids in digestion, and gives them ideal bowel movements. We've had no trouble with glands on this kibble, and my pups have stayed regular and comfortable.Avoderm Puppy and Avoderm Small Breed both can be hard to find on Amazon and in stores, so when I find it I buy it in bulk. The 26lb bag I bought for $54.99 + tax will last my 2 small dogs all year. At that rate, the price is great!If I had one complaint it would be that the bag needs a zipper or velcro seal. Buying in bulk I need to store it. And dog food has the capacity to go stale and attract bugs. (Note: my bags all have been clean and fresh at time of purchase.) But I do need to store them, and some kind of resealable bag closure would be a welcome addition.If this review and pics helped you please show a starving writer some love and hit it w/a like! I bought AvoDerm after reading LOTS of dog food reviews. Was looking for a good grain free food for our chow chow that had a terrible dandruff problem.I didn't count the days, but within a couple weeks his dandruff was COMPLETELY GONE!! Some reviewers mentioned negatives such as gas, loose stools, or their dog not liking it. We have had no problems at all... quite the opposite!! Our dog LOVES his AvoDerm food! The BEST unexpected benefit of AvoDerm is that he no longer needs bathing as often as before using this food!! He is an inside dog, but still needed bathing a couple times a month. As if today I haven't bathed him in over 2 months!! He doesn't smell, And His coat is still SO soft and shiney!!!Along with the dog smell being gone, so is bad doggy breath! I can't say enough about how satisfied we are with AvoDerm!! Will never change his dog food ever again, & I've told everyone I know with dogs about AvoDerm!!I was also THRILLED that AvoDerm WAS NOT on the latest dog food recall!!Two previous foods we tried were on that last recall about grain free foods that cause heart problems in dogs.Thanks for a GREAT DOG FOOD AvoDerm!! My puppies love this food! We read an article about best dog foods and this was on it. Our breeder used Hill Science Diet with the same flavor as this and so we continued that for the first few weeks until I read that article and found that Hills Science was one on the list that they DON'T recommend. The list contained a lot of very expensive foods and this one was one of the cheapest on the list so we thought we'd try.Differences: 1. The food pellets are smaller and more rounded. 2. When you add water (because they are puppies), it turns to a gravy. Hills food just expanded like a sponge but did not turn into a gravy. 3. My puppies LOVE it! They practically inhale the food. With Hills, they would just eat the food but it took a while and some times they would not even finish it. With this food, they are excited to eat and they finish every bit and want more. They want to eat all day long now! They are constantly checking the kitchen to see if we've put more food down for them.We have two Vizsla puppies from the same litter. One has slightly looser stools and gas (after switching to this) and the other does not. I think that means that, the "loose stool" and "gas" issues are going to be on an individual dog basis. We have only used the dog food for 4 days.The difference in appearance was enough to convince me and I am willing to put up with the issues as long as it doesn't cause them pain or harm. That has not been the case yet. I will give it another 3 weeks before making the final decision on whether one needs to be changed to another food. I would hate to do that though, because she loves this food

We used this food when our now 80-lb lab/husky was a puppy. She loved this food! She has a very sensitive tummy and it took us several tries to get her food right. The pellets are small, so she never choked, but she did tend to inhale it because there was no need to chew the tiny pellets. It's a little humorous that the rate features are flavor and scent... I haven't tried the food, and it just smells like all other dog food. But our dog liked it and ate it with no tummy problems for a year. Highly recommend this food!

I have been using both dog and cat food from this company since the seventies! AFAIK, this company has never had a recall. It is a caring family type company and has high quality in all their products. I give this item to all puppies until one year old and then switch to their adult formulation. My dogs are very healthy and grow well. I insist that any puppy buyers use this brand of food but it can be hard to find. It is worth hunting for it.
